Carol passed away December 4, 2017 at her home in St. Michael, Mn. from brain cancer, with her family by her side.
Carol was born at St. Clare Hospital, January 14, 1944 to Peter and Irene (Hanson) Wickey and lived in the Woodford area, where she attended school and graduated from South Wayne High School, class of 1966 and she loved her classmates. Driving 6 hours one way, she always came back each year to attend her class reunion, family reunion and classmate's funerals.
She had a professional career for more than 40 years as a hairdresser.
Carol lived in Mesa, AZ. when she was married to Jack Dammen from Argyle and then divorced and went to Eden Prairie, MN. to marry Charles Blesener in 1987. She was very active at her church being the mass and funeral luncheon coordinator (she even planned her own) and worked in the nursery. She and Charles were involved with the Red Cross, at one time, traveling to many distressed communities and worked together at their garden at the church, to raise money for the church.
Carol is survived by her Husband, Charles, Son Ken (Karen) Dammen, Colorado and Daughter Lori Dammen Rogers, FL, three sisters, Shirley (Allan) Thoman, WI. Rapids, Alice (Forrest) Ladwig, Monroe and Betty (Dion) Wilson, Peoria, IL. and three Grandchildren, Megan, Maddie and Grace and many friends. She was excited to hear that she was going to be a Great-Grandmother to a set of twins in the spring of 2018.
Memorial Mass was held December 7 at St. Michael Catholic Church and condolences can be sent to: 13443 44th Circle NE, St. Michael, MN. 55376-8416 and all memorials will be given to the American Cancer Society.
Carol will be missed by ALL that ever knew her, but fondly remembered forever.
