Carol A. Meyers, age 78 of Monroe died Friday, November 14th, 2014. Carol was born November 11th, 1936 in the Exeter Township, New Glarus, WI. She was the daughter of William and Marie (Baumgartner) Reuter. She graduated from the Class of 1955- Belleville High School and married Harris A. Meyers on April 27th, 1957 at the Swiss United Church of Christ, New Glarus, WI. Carol was a housewife, mother and grandmother. She had helped her husband on the farm, enjoyed many years of gardening, card club playing, polka dancing and being with family and friends. She was a member of the St John's Church of Christ in Monroe, and in her earlier years being a part of the Stateline Square Dancers. Carol was an avid Badgers and Green Bay Packer fan.

Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Harris Meyers; a daughter, Brenda Neuenschwander, a son Bruce Meyers, and two granddaughters Bailey and Sierra Neuenschwander, all of Monroe. Sisters Lorna Mutch, Madison, Jeanette (LeRoy) Abplanalp, Sun Prairie, a brother Charles (Ruby) Reuter, Verona. Very special in-laws; sister-in-law, Judy Reuter, New Glarus, Dorothy Meyers, Monroe. Brother and sister-in-laws, Lavon (Don) Prien, Luana (Joe) Wels and with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond, Leon and Robert Reuter. Very special in-laws, Stanley & Ruth Meyers, Dale Meyers, Robert Mutch, Betty Reuter, and nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday November 18th from 4-7pm at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral and funeral services will be held Wednesday November 19th at 10:30am at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home with Reverend Tiff Bates officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Hawthorne Cemetery and at a later date. Condolences may be made sent to the family at www.shriner111.com.
