BRODHEAD - Calvin E. Stuck, age 84, of New Glarus, formerly of Brodhead, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015, at The New Glarus Home, New Glarus, WI. He was born on August 23, 1931 in Harvey, IL, the son of Everett D. and Mildred (Abrams) Stuck. He married Rosemary Burwitz on March 21, 1959. She passed away on May 1, 2010.
Calvin lived in Illinois, moving to Streator, IL in 1938 where he attended school. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1954 on the ship the USS Beatty 756, giving support to the United Nations Ground Forces, 8th Army, in Korea and Task Force 77. Following his tour of duty, he attended the LeTourneau Technical Institute, Longview, TX in 1956. He worked at Sears in the heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration dept. for 35 years as a supervisor and manager of the repair dept., retiring in September of 1991. Calvin and his wife moved from the Chicago area to Brodhead in 1991.
Calvin is survived by two sons, Stephen Stuck, Brodhead, Rick (Ann) Stuck Gastonia, NC; two sisters, Lois Tearman, Monroe, WI, Claudia Knepper, Green Bay, WI; four grandchildren; and a very special friend, Erika Eason. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
