Bruce C. Kneubuehl, age 69 of Monroe, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at his home.

Bruce was born August 31, 1941 in Monroe, the son of Sylvan C. and Hulda (Kaderli) Kneubuehl. Bruce graduated from Monroe High School in 1959 and served overseas in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965. Bruce was a full time brewhouse employee of the Joseph Huber Brewing Company from 1966 until retiring on Jan. 1, 2000. He was the brewery Union Steward of Teamsters Local #744 from 1968 until 2000. Bruce returned to brewery as a part time tour guide from 2001-2006.

He was a member of the Monroe American Legion Post #84, loved to fish and hunt, and enjoyed yodeling and making home made wine.

Bruce is survived by a sister, Afra (Fred) Kundert of Neenah; a brother, Spencer Kneubuehl of Houston, TX; three nephews and a niece who adored his sense of humor, Randy (Judy) Kundert, Kevin (Paula) Kundert, Chris (Kim) Kundert, and Lisa Kneubuehl.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Sylvan on July 14, 2001; and a sister-in-law, Judith Kneubuehl on November 1, 2010.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A memorial fund will be established in Bruce's name.
