TOWN OF ALBANY — A Brodhead driver was seriously injured in a crash near Albany in the early morning hours of Nov. 21 and arrested on a felony fourth-offense drunk driving charge, according to the Green County Sheriff’s Office.

First responders were dispatched to the crash scene in the N5000 block of County F, Town of Albany, at about 2:30 a.m.

Investigation revealed Troy A. Menehan, 58, was southbound when his vehicle crossed the centerline, entered the east shoulder, then returned across the road and rolled in the west ditch, landing on its roof.

Menehan was trapped inside and had to be extricated by Albany firefighters. He was taken by ambulance to the Monroe Clinic ER for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.

In addition to the charge of fourth-offense operating while intoxicated, Menehan was cited for failure to keep a vehicle under control, operating left of center, unsafe lane deviation and refusing to take a test for intoxication.
