MONROE - Brittany M. Popanz, age 20, of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 15, 2009 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. She was born on June 18, 1988 in Monroe, WI, the daughter of Theodore and Marcia (Bouers) Popanz.
Brittany graduated from Monroe High School in 2006. She also attended Blackhawk Tech. to become a certified nurses aid. She worked at the Monroe Manor, attended the John Casa Blanca Modeling School, Brookfield, WI, and was Miss Teen Monroe. She loved swimming, horseback riding, and party planning.
She is survived by her parents, Ted and Marcia, a brother, Joshua Popanz, Brodhead, maternal grandmother, Grace Bouers, Monroe, paternal great-grandparents, Clara Popanz, Ben and Arlene Riemer, all of Brodhead, uncles, Kevin (Janet) Bouers, Brodhead, Todd (Becky) Popanz, Edgerton, great-uncle, Joe Popanz, Brodhead, and her pet dogs, Cole and Frosty. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bill Bouers, and paternal grandparents, John and Sandy Popanz.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, with Monsignor Thomas Campion presiding. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2009, at the funeral home. A memorial fund will be established.
