Beverly J. Jenny

Beverly J. Jenny, 87, died on February 18 at the Odd Fellows Nursing Home in Green Bay, WI after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. A long time resident of Janesville, she was the wife of Ralph B. Jenny, owner of Jenny Pontiac on Milton Avenue (now Everhart-O'Leary Motors, Inc.). He preceded her in death on July 26, 1993. They were married on August 25, 1942, while Ralph was serving in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Born in Evansville, Wisconsin on August 11, 1920 to Bonard and Ella Hart, Beverly was a teacher in a one room school house in Evansville after graduating from Green County Normal School in Monroe, Wisconsin. She was a member of the Cargill United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and served with the Women's Ministries. She was also a member of P.E.O. International. Beverly loved being with her family and enjoyed the fellowship of many long-standing, great friends; she took particular pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren.

Beverly is survived by her two children: Dr. Carolyn (Ray) Tennant of Minneapolis, MN and Dr. Donald (Debra) Jenny of Green Bay, WI; three grandchildren: Benjamin, Brenna, and Hillary Jenny. Beverly was preceded in death by one brother, Donald, and her parents.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, and the funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Cargill United Methodist Church, 2000 Wesley Avenue, Janesville. Interment will follow in the family plot in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Evansville.
