Arden A. Patchen, age 81 passed away Sunday March 6, 2011 at the Evansville Manor Nursing Home. He was born on February 3, 1930 on the home farm in rural Albany, the son of William and Sylvia (Ross) Patchen. He was a graduate of Albany High School. Arden married Harriet "Inez" Benion on September 14, 1963 in Stoughton Wisconsin. Arden was an avid hunter and fisherman. He never missed a church service or Sunday school to go hunting, but harvested more deer then anyone else. He never missed a chance to do what he loved most. He is survived by his loving wife Inez, a niece Bea (Ted) Bergum, nephews Alan (Ann) Patchen and Joe (Alice) Patchen, great nieces and nephews, a aunt Delores Patchen, a uncle Stanley Johnson and his faithful companions Snooks and Butch. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ross and Gusti Patchen, uncles Arthur Patchen, Jack Patchen, aunt Beverly Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday March 10, 2011 at the Hill Top Community Church in Albany with Reverend Doug Workman officiating. Burial will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery Albany, Wisconsin. A visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Wednesday March 9, 2011 at the Ward Funeral Home Evansville, Wisconsin and one hour prior to the services at the church, Thursday, March 10. The family suggests memorials be made to the Hill Top Community Church Albany in Arden's name.
