WARREN - Alice K. Brown, 86, of Warren, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother found peace on November 3, 2014 at Azura Memory Care, Monroe, WI her home for the last several years.
Alice was born on August 21, 1928 in Apple River, IL, the daughter of Roy and Edna Downs. Alice married Donald Brown on November 9, 1947. Alice owned Donald Brown Trucking with her children since 1945. She was the bookkeeper for many years. She was always ready to talk about trucking. She was an avid bowler for many years, loved her flowers, her yard, the holidays and decorating her house for every holiday.
She was a member of the Midwest Trucker Association and the Warren Methodist Church.
She is survived by four children: Jim (Carol) Brown of Warren, IL, Susan (Curt) Lethlean of Amherst, WI, Merrie (Wally) Leverton of Warren, IL, and Tim Brown (Angie Rowley) of Warren, IL; nine grandchildren: Chris (Michelle) Brown of Elgin, IL, Melissa Brown of Warren, IL, Matt (Rachel) Brown of Browntown, WI, Angie (Josh) Daughenbaugh of Monroe, WI, Nic Lethlean (Virginia Malingin) of Madison, WI, Josh (Kristi) Leverton, of Warren, Andy (Nickie) Brown both of Warren, IL and Tanya Lethlean of Amherst, WI; sixteen great-grandchildren: Alyssa Brown, Samantha Solberg, Stephen Michels, Gavin Leverton, Zachary Hicks, Baylee Noll, Logan Brown, Payton Broshous, Mackenzie Brown, Delaney Brown, Jack Leverton, Jadie Daughenbaugh, Deonte Crey Lethlean, Jace Daughenbaugh, Sophie Leverton and Jaxson Daughenbaugh; one great-great-grandchild Felicity Michels and one on the way in April 2015; four sisters and one sister-in-law, Gertie Brown of Lena.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald, on November 9, 2006, four sisters and one brother.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Alice's caregivers Linda Kent, Friendship Center, and her family at Azura Memory Care. Without your care, her life would not have been the same.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, IL.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home.
Pastor Randy Booth will Officiate the service.
Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren.
A memorial has been established for the Alzheimer's Foundation and the Monroe Hospice.
