WINSLOW - Aletha G. Bunker, age 92, of Monroe, WI, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at Graceland Manor Nursing Home in Monroe, WI. She was born on August 10, 1916 in Warren, IL, to Thomas and Viola (Luy) Martin. She married Donald F. Bunker Sr. on October 9, 1938 in Winslow, IL. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1984.
She and her husband farmed from 1938 to 1956. Then they moved to Winslow and she went to work at Micro Switch for 16 years.
She is survived by two sons: Glenn (Nancy) Bunker of Monroe, WI and Donald (Dorothy) Bunker Jr. of Winslow, IL; one daughter: Darlene (Donald) Potter of Winslow, IL; one foster daughter, Patricia (Nathan) Paul Sr. of Choctaw, OK; one sister: Donna Krebs of Monroe, WI; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; four foster grandchildren, 13 foster great-grandchildren and 9 foster great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two daughters: Donna and Dixie; one son: Derald; one great-grandson: Donny: one foster granddaughter: Tina Paul; five sisters: Sarah, Henrietta, Ruth, Rose and Vera; and four brothers: Lawrence, Curtis, Ceciel and Richard.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday January 23, 2009 at Leamon Funeral Home in Winslow, IL. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Winslow, IL. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Warren.
