MONROE - Agnes M. Boll, 96, formerly of 1195 West Hill Ave., Platteville, Wisconsin died at 4:02 a.m. Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Monroe, Wisconsin.

Funeral services 12:00 (Noon) Thursday, September 23, 2010 at First English Lutheran Church, Platteville, Wisconsin. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville.

Visitation after 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. The Miller Funeral Home, East Dubuque. IL. is serving the family.

Agnes was born on April 15, 1914 in Platteville, the daughter of Herman R. and Meldia C. (Kenny) Boll.

Agnes attended the Platteville Schools and was a 1936 graduate of Platteville Teacher's College, now the University of Wisconsin at Platteville.

She was employed for many years in the family store, Boll's Clothing Store, until the store closed in 1966. Following the closing of the store Agnes was employed as a Library Assistant at the Karrmann Library at UW-Platteville until retiring in 1984. While at UW-Platteville she enjoyed working with other staff members and students and attending all the parties that were held at the Library. The Wisconsin Room was one of her favorite areas of the Library.

Agnes was a lifelong member of First English Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was a member of several ladies organizations. She was an avid supporter of World Hunger and Youth Programs.

Surviving are two nephews, Thomas E. (Linda) Boll, Monroe, Wisconsin and James R. (Judith) Boll of Greenfield, Wisconsin. Great nieces, Angela (Jon) Schmidt of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and Rachel Boll of San Francisco, California. Great nephews, Peter (Jennifer) Boll of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin, and Joshua Boll of Monroe. Great Great Nephews, Michael and Aaron Schmidt of Sun Prairie, and Ryan and Eric Boll of Cottage Grove, and a number of cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Earl Boll, sister Lenice Boll and sister-in-law, Marion Boll and a great great nephew, Ben Schmidt.
