DARLINGTON - Darlington Police officers were assisted by Lafayette County Sheriff's Department deputies and the Darlington Fire Department at about 3:45 a.m. Wednesday in an attempt to locate a four-year-old child who had wondered from a residence on E. Harriet Street in Darlington. The child had walked away from his home, without his parents knowing. A few minutes after the call was received, an officer found the child, uninjured, about seven blocks from his home. The child was returned home.
