Monroe Police

MONROE — On Aug. 25:

•  Assault was reported at 1 a.m. in the 1400 block of 17th Street. Nathan K. Rufener, 28, Monroe, and Danielle M. Campi, 32, Monroe, were arrested. Rufener was charged with battery and disorderly conduct. Campi was charged with substantial battery and disorderly conduct. Both were confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

•  A domestic disturbance was reported at 5:29 a.m. on the 1600 block of 14th Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of Travis A. Vincent, 28, Monroe, on charges of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence Law and resisting arrest. Vincent was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

•  Gary L. Hanson, 54, Monroe, was arrested following a traffic stop at 6:39 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. Hanson was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated first offense and was later released to a responsible person pending a court appearance. 

On Aug. 28:

•  Patrisha T. Johnson, 26, Orfordville, was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery at 1:06 a.m. Johnson was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Aug. 28:

•  Chad O. Osbaugh, 35, Monroe, was arrested at 9:31 a.m. on a probation hold at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. Osbaugh was incarcerated at the Green County Jail

On Aug. 29:

•  Cody J. Ott, 26, Monroe, was arrested on a probation hold at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. Ott was incarcerated at the Green County Jail. 

 On Aug. 30:

•  Jonathon A. Obrien, 34, Belleville, was arrested on a charge of failure to update address as a sex offender at 5:59 p.m. at a residence in the W4100 block of Pine Valley Road, Town of Exeter. He was jailed pending court.


Brodhead Police 

BRODHEAD — For the week of Aug. 19-Aug. 25, the Brodhead Police Department had 55 calls for service, 13 follow up to incidents, 11 vehicle registrations, 18 citizen assist/community policing, 57 security checks, 11 assist other agencies, 3 traffic stops, 5 911/BEEMS and 6 EMS calls.

On Aug. 19:

•  A 23-year-old Orfordville man was cited for speeding at 2:33 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Aug. 20:

•  A domestic problem was reported at 1:39 p.m. on the 300 block of 3rd street.

•  A parking complaint was reported at 12:08 p.m. on the 700 block of 17th street.

•  Code violation was reported at 1:06 p.m. on the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue.

On Aug. 21: 

•  A hit and run crash was reported at 5:34 a.m. on the 100 block of 23rd street.

On Aug. 22:

•  A 27-year-old Monticello man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, operating after revocation causing property damage, non-registration of a vehicle and motor vehicle liability insurance required at 12:50 a.m. in the 400 block of West 3rd Avenue.

•  A 33-year-old New Glarus woman was cited of operating after revocation at 4:50 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street. 

•  A traffic crash was reported at 10:36 a.m. on the 1600 block of West 4th Avenue.

•  A traffic crash was reported at 10:39 a.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street.

•  Animal neglect was reported at 3:12 p.m. on the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue.

•  Damage to property was reported at 5:21 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. The matter remains under investigation. 

•  A 72-year-old Brodhead man was cited for open intoxicants in motor vehicle at 6:02 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

•  Disorderly conduct was reported at 7:21 p.m. in the 200 block of 8th Street.

On Aug. 23:

•  A 46-year-old Brodhead man was cited for motor vehicle liability and insurance required following a traffic crash at 1:40 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th street.

•  A 75-year-old Brodhead man was cited for failure to stop at stop sign at 8:50 p.m. in the 800 block of East Exchange Street.

On Aug. 24: 

•  A 28-year-old Freeport, Illinois, man was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office on charges of reckless driving and fleeing/eluding an officer following an incident at 4:52 a.m.

•  Damage to property was reported at 6:37 a.m. on the 1100 block of 1st center Avenue. 

On Aug. 25:

•  A traffic crash was reported at 1:38 p.m. on the 2400 block of 1st avenue.

•  A fireworks violation as reported at 9:05 p.m. on the 500 block of East Exchange Street.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — On Aug. 23:

•  Agustin Rios, 62, Darlington, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance and without a driver’s license at 11:20 a.m. on Main Street.

On Aug. 27:

•  Patricia E. Hexom, 54, Darlington, was arrested for felony bail jumping following contact at a bar at 9:37 p.m. on Main Street.

DARLINGTON — On Aug. 27:

•  A deputy responded to a welfare check at 2:12 a.m. on East Main Street in Benton. 

•  A deputy assisted Grant County in Platteville with a welfare check at 5:46 a.m.

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 12:39 p.m. on County D in Wayne township.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 1 p.m. on Wis. 78 in Gratiot township.

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 4:35 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Wayne township.

•  A deputy responded to a welfare check at 6:49 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Elk Grove township.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:06 p.m. on County G in Willow Springs township.

•  Darick J. Hilby, 37, Cuba City, was arrested for operating while intoxicated at 8:42 p.m. on Twin Bridge Road in New Diggings township. Hilby was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and released to a responsible party. Hilby was also cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

•  A disabled vehicle was reported at 10:49 p.m. on Wis. 151 in Belmont township.

On Aug. 28:

•  A traffic hazard was reported at 4:24 a.m. on Red Rock Road in Darlington Township.

•  A deputy responded to a welfare check at 10:34 a.m. on Garden Street in New Diggings Township.

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:22 a.m. on Carr Factory Road in Benton Township.

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 11:35 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Benton Township.

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:15 p.m. on Wis. 81 in Argyle township.

•  Disorderly conduct was reported at 5:22 p.m. on Fairview street in Blanchardville.

•  A deputy responded to a vehicle unlock at 6:05 p.m. on Main street in Gratiot. 

•  Leah A. Stocks, 31, Gratiot, was arrest on a valid warrant at 6:26 p.m. on County E in Shullsburg township. Stocks was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she remains in custody.

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 6:59 p.m. on Old Q Road in Blanchard Township.

•  A deputy responded at 8:35 p.m. to Furnace Hill Road in Willow Springs Township to assist the Madison Police. 

On Aug. 29:

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 4:42 a.m. on County O in Kendall Township.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:53 a.m. on White Oak Road in New Diggings Township.

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 12:37 p.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

•  Illegal burning as reported at 4:12 p.m. on South Galena Street in South Wayne. 

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 4:55 p.m. on Mount Pleasant Road in Willow Springs Township.

•  Harassment was reported at 5:36 p.m. on North Judgment street in Shullsburg.

•  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:07 p.m. on County O in Kendall township.

•  Deputies responded at 6:29 p.m. to North Main Street in Blanchardville to keep the peace. 

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 10:06 p.m. on West Mound Road in Belmont Township.

•  Preston D. Richardson, 18, Lancaster, was cited for operating after suspension and no insurance at 10:58 p.m. on West Mound Road in Belmont Township.

•  Leslie A. Wills, 25, Warren, Illinois, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and no insurance at 11:47 p.m. on Wis. 78 in Gratiot Township. 

On Aug. 30:

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 6:24 a.m. on County J, Town of Benton.

•  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:32 p.m. on Wisconsin 23, Town of Darlington.

•  A deputy encountered a disabled vehicle on Main Street in Darlington at 3:37 p.m.

•  A traffic hazard was reported at 6:26 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

•  A deputy responded at 6:57 p.m. to South Galena Street in Shullsburg to unlock a vehicle.

•  Joshua J. Bloedow, 37, Fennimore, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance at 7:14 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

•  Traci J. Luebke, 52, South Wayne, was cited for operating a motor vehicle without insurance after a deputy encountered a disabled vehicle at 7:37 p.m. on Tornow Road, Town of Wayne.

•  Scott L. Havens, 56, Apple River, Illinois, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 8:11 p.m. on County DD, Town of Wayne.
