Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On Sept. 18: 

● Officers responded at 7:59 a.m. to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

● Officers assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office with traffic control for a charity car rally at 12:07 p.m. on Wis. 69 and County C. 

● A suspicious vehicle was reported at 2:51 p.m. in the 400 block of North Pratt Road. 

● An unwanted person at a residence was reported at 4:39 p.m. in the 600 block of Washington Street. This remains under investigation. 

On Sept. 19: 

● A person with open intoxicants was reported at 4:37 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. The person was not located. This remains under investigation. 

● Officers assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office with a 911 open line call at 11:42 p.m. on Nye Road. 

● Officers responded at 11:41 a.m. Sept. 20 to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

● Officers responded to check welfare at 1:35 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 300 block of Kennedy Street. 

On Sept. 22: 

● Officers responded for a vehicle unlock at 11:23 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

● Rebekah A. Bak, Monticello, was cited for possession or consumption of open intoxicants in an open area at 5:42 p.m. in the 400 block of West Coates Avenue. 

On Sept. 23: 

● A parking complaint was reported at 11 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. The vehicle was gone prior to police arrival. 

● A female in possession of alcohol in a public area was reported at 8:56 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. She fled area prior to police arrival. This remains under investigation. 

On Sept. 24: 

● Fraud was reported at 9:29 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. This remains under investigation. 

● Officers conducted traffic control at 2:03 p.m. on North Main Street and East Coates Avenue. 


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD —  

For the week of Sept. 19 to Sept. 25, police performed 74 security checks, 24 citizen assists, nine assists of other agencies, nine follow-ups to incidents, 13 vehicle registration and 13 traffic stops; responded to 36 calls for service and reported seven EMS calls, 12 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and five fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

● Harassment was reported at 12:45 p.m. Sept. 19 in the 1000 block of 21St. Street. A warning was issued. 

On Sept. 20: 

● A dog at large was reported at 2:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue. Owner was not located, and dog was turned over to the Humane Society. 

● Two dogs left in a vehicle was reported at 4:26 p.m. in the 1000 block of East 2nd Avenue. The dogs were not in any distress and taken home by owner. 

On Sept. 21: 

● A dog at large was reported at 12:44 p.m. in the 500 block of East 2nd Avenue. The dog was returned to owner. 

● A dog running at large was reported at 4:38 p.m. in the 1000 block of East 4th Avenue. A warning was issued. 

On Sept. 22: 

● A traffic crash was reported at 2:02 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. No citations were issued. 

● A Beloit man, 73, was cited for speeding at 4 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. 

● A Machesney Park, Illinois woman, 23, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana at 7:23 p.m. in the 500 block of 1st Street. She was also cited for possession of open intoxicants in vehicle. 

On Sept. 23: 

● Disorderly conduct was reported at 3:14 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Warnings were issued. 

● Disorderly conduct was reported at 7:49 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued. 

On Sept. 24: 

● An Illinois man, 52, was cited for speeding at 2:14 p.m. in the 300 block of 23rd Street. 

● A Brodhead man, 24, was cited for speeding at 3:57 p.m. in the 600 block of East 9th Avenue. 

● A tree limb on the roadway was reported at 5:37 p.m. in the 1000 block of 10th Street. Officers removed the limb. 

On Sept. 25: 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 12:43 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. 

● Trespassing was reported at 5:40 p.m. in the 800 block of 17th Street. A written warning was issued. 


Green County Sheriff 

MONROE — On Sept. 23: 

● Rick Ace, 27, Belleville, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated, operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, speeding and driving without a valid license at 12:37 a.m. Sept. 26 in the N9400 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. He was released to a responsible party. 


Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON —   On Sept. 23: 

● A deputy responded to keep the peace at 7:45 a.m. on East South Street in South Wayne. 

● Theft was reported at 8:12 a.m. on County F, Town of Darlington. 

● A deputy responded to check welfare at 12:40 p.m. on Crabtree Corner Road, Town of Benton. 

● A civil dispute was reported at 12:40 p.m. on Andrews Road, Town of Wayne and at 4:36 p.m. on Shawnee Road, Town of New Diggings. 

● An injured animal was reported at 6:49 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs. 

● Harassment was reported at 8:31 p.m. on Breeze Terrace in Argyle. 

● Will B. Esser, 20, Glen Haven, was cited for theft and improper parking at 9:45 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont. 

On Sept. 24: 

● A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:01 a.m. on County J, Town of Benton, at 12:12 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont and at 12:44 p.m. on Jennings Road, Town of Wiota. 

● Disorderly conduct was reported at 10:50 a.m. on Cross Street in Blanchardville. 

● A traffic hazard was reported at 4:15 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Gratiot. 

● Lost property was reported at 7:55 p.m. on Lake Road, Town of Argyle. 

● A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 11:07 p.m. on Butts Road, Town of Wayne. 

On Sept. 25: 

● Theft was reported at 7:02 a.m. on West Mound View Road in Belmont. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 8:02 a.m. on Wildcat Road, Town of Willow Springs. 

● A hit-and-run was reported at 8:05 a.m. on County K, Town of Darlington. 

● A 911 misdial was reported at 1:43 p.m. on East Main Street in Shullsburg and at 4:25 p.m. on Lake Joy Lane, Town of Belmont. 

● A civil dispute was reported at 1:47 p.m. on East South Street in South Wayne. 

● A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 3:14 p.m. on Jericho Road, Town of Belmont. 

● A deputy responded to check welfare at 6:52 p.m. on West Wood Street in Shullsburg. 

● A deputy assisted Darlington police with disorderly conduct at 7:15 p.m. on East Minerva Street in Darlington. 

● Deputies responded for disorderly conduct at 9:53 p.m. on Cub Hollow Road, Town of Gratiot. 

On Sept. 26: 

● Antonio Perez, 22, Shullsburg, was cited for speeding, open intoxicants and driving without a license at 3:51 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Shullsburg. 

● Harassment was reported at 6:23 a.m. on County F, Town of Darlington. 

● Christopher C. Fields, 48, Galena, Illinois, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 10:34 a.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs. 

● Criminal damage to property complaint was reported at 12:23 p.m. on School Street in Blanchardville. 

● A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 1:17 p.m. on Sheldon Street in Gratiot, at 3:27 p.m. on Prairie Road, Town of Belmont and at 3:41 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. 

● An animal bite was reported at 2:39 p.m. on Main Street in Blanchardville. 

● A 911 misdial was reported at 3:25 p.m. on County H, Town of Elk Grove. 

● An ATV complaint was reported at 4:35 p.m. on County Y, Town of Wiota. 

● An erratic driver was reported at 7:45 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. Darlington police assisted. 

● A deputy assisted Darlington Police Department with a traffic stop at 9:04 p.m. on East North Street in Darlington. 

● A deputy responded to check welfare at 11:07 p.m. on Roller Coaster Road, Town of Darlington.
