Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — On Monday, Sept. 30:

●  Samantha Mittlestadt, 29, Mineral Point, was issued six citations for issuing worthless checks following several complaints by businesses throughout Darlington.

●  Brandon Aide, 28, Mineral Point, was issued seven citations for issuing worthless checks following several complaints by businesses throughout Darlington.

●  Megan Kammerud, 37, Darlington, was cited for issuing a worthless check following a complaint by a business on Wis. 23.

●  Angela Goebel, 47, Gratiot, was cited for issuing a worthless check following a complaint by a business on Wis. 23.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1:

●  Walter A. Lopez-Lopez, 30, Darlington, was arrested on charges of trespassing and disorderly conduct at 12:32 a.m. following a complaint at a residence on Galena Street.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Matthew L. Disch, 33, Albany, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse-related disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a report of domestic abuse in the W2500 block of County F, Town of Mount Pleasant, at 8:14 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30. He was jailed pending court.

●  Ricky J. Rhodes, 31, Machesney Park, Illinois, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while under the influence of drugs after deputies stopped him at 1:28 a.m. at the intersection of Wis. 11 and County KK, Town of Sylvester. He was transported to the jail, where he was booked and released, pending court, on misdemeanor charges of possessing drug paraphernalia and THC. Rhodes was also cited for failure to obey a traffic sign in a construction zone and possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Monday, Sept. 30:

●  Fraud was reported at 9 a.m. on County F, Town of Kendall.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 11:03 a.m. on Hammer Lane, Town of New Diggings. Benton First Response, Hazel Green EMS and Shullsburg police assisted on scene.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 11:29 a.m. on Trotter Lane, Town of Argyle.

●  Theft was reported at 11:53 a.m. on English Hollow Road, Town of Fayette.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 2:43 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 6:13 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 9:13 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 9:43 p.m. on Chestnut Street in Belmont.

●  Cody A. Vondran, 25, Belmont, was arrested and jailed on a probation and probation warrant after deputies responded to check welfare at 10:06 p.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Belmont.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1:

●  Trespassing was reported at 12:25 a.m. on Wood Street in Belmont.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:45 a.m. on West Wisconsin Avenue in Belmont.

●  Faith A. Hoffman, 27, Belmont, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to check welfare at 2:50 a.m. on Wood Street in Belmont. She was transported to the jail, where she was later released on a cash bond.

●  A deputy came across a disabled vehicle at 7:01 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:14 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 8:19 a.m. on County G, Town of Argyle.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 10:52 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 11:46 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  Deputies responded to assist the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office at 3:25 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy responded for a lift assist at 7:13 p.m. on Fayette Road in Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:56 p.m. on County F, Town of Darlington.

●  Trees down, water over the roadway, roof damage, power outages and power lines down were reported throughout the county around 8:30 p.m. due to a severe thunderstorm. Deputies, the Belmont Fire Department, Lafayette County Highway Department, Kendall Township and Alliant Energy all assisted in responding.

On Wednesday, Oct. 2:

●  A deputy helped Darlington police with a citizen’s assist at 12:05 a.m. on Fayette Road in Darlington.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 4:48 a.m. on Jennings Road, Town of Wiota.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 7:23 a.m. to Noble Street in Gratiot.

●  A tree on the roadway was reported at 8:59 a.m. on Old Q Road, Town of Argyle.

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 11:57 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police at 1:02 p.m. on Wells Street in Darlington.

●  Harassment was reported at 2:24 p.m. on Meylor Lane, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 6:59 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 8:52 p.m. on Butts Road, Town of Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:07 p.m. on South Iowa Street in Shullsburg.

●  Curtis A. Fussell, 20, Argyle, was arrested on Monroe Police Department warrant after deputies respond at 10:12 p.m. to East Milwaukee Street in Argyle to assist the Monroe Police Department. He was then transferred to the custody of a Green County deputy.
