MONROE — On Thursday, Sept. 27, the following items were found in the city, turned over to police and can be claimed at the police department:
• A football at 9:30 a.m. in the 1700 block of 9th Street.
• A bicycle at 12:46 p.m. in the 300 block of 18th Avenue.
• A TracFone cellular phone at 1:28 p.m. in the 1800 block of 12th Street.
• A bicycle at 3:51 p.m. in the 2900 block of 13th Street.
Brodhead Police
BRODHEAD — For the week of Sept. 23 to 29, police performed 57 security checks, 19 citizen assists, five assists of other agencies, 14 vehicle registrations and 24 follow-ups to incidents; responded to 46 calls for service, five EMS calls, three 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; made 10 traffic stops and responded to three fire calls. No mental health or detox transports were reported.
On Sunday, Sept. 23:
• A traffic crash involving one vehicle backing into another was reported at 12:56 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.
On Monday, Sept. 24:
• A traffic complaint of subjects riding bikes in the roadway was reported at 4:39 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. They were warned.
On Tuesday, Sept. 25:
• Harassment was reported at 6:49 p.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street. A person reported unwanted messages from another. A warning was issued.
On Wednesday, Sept. 26:
• A Brodhead man, 26, was arrested for a probation violation at 1:16 a.m. in the 1200 block of West 2nd Avenue.
• Disorderly conduct involving an issue with social media was reported at 9:48 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Police made contact, and the matter was resolved.
• A code violation involving loud music was reported at 1:26 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued.
• A Monroe man, 48, was arrested on charges of operating while intoxicated, felony bail jumping, resisting or obstructing an officer and operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent at 2:59 p.m. in the 2100 block of West 9th Avenue. He was also cited for unreasonable and imprudent speeding.
On Thursday, Sept. 27:
• A Brodhead woman, 18, was cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor at 8:29 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Two juveniles were cited for underage possession of tobacco.
On Friday, Sept. 28:
• A Brodhead man, 22, was cited for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and purchase/possession of tobacco products at 10:04 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.
On Saturday, Sept. 29:
• A Brodhead woman, 52, was cited in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue for issuing worthless checks following an investigation into a case reported on Sept. 18.
Green County Sheriff
MONROE — Brodie G. Flannery, 26, Mount Horeb, was arrested on a failure-to-pay warrant issued by the Monroe Police Department after deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding in the N4300 block of Wisconsin 69 at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28. He was also cited for speeding. He posted bond and was released.
New Glarus Police
NEW GLARUS — On Monday, Sept. 24:
• Police were dispatched to a medical call at 10:09 a.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.
• A large amount of glass on the roadway was reported at 1:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Railroad Street. Police advised the New Glarus Street Department and it was cleaned up.
• A juvenile was cited at 3:35 p.m. for possession of a dangerous weapon as the result of an investigation from Sept. 21.
• At 6:18 p.m., police investigated a disorderly conduct issue stemming from earlier in the day in the 1600 block of 2nd Street.
• At 9:35 p.m., police investigated a vehicle that appeared to be abandoned on 2nd Avenue. The tires were marked.On Tuesday, Sept. 25:
• Police responded to the 500 block of 1st Street at 10:43 a.m. to assist a citizen with unlocking a vehicle.
• Child abuse that occurred on 5th Street was reported at 11:40 a.m. Green County Human Services was made aware of the incident.
• A citizen turned in a ring found in Village Park to the police department at 11:40 a.m.
• Police responded to the 700 block of 6th Avenue at 12:03 a.m. to assist a citizen with unlocking a vehicle.
• Police were dispatched to a medical call at 1:18 p.m. in the 900 block of 3rd Street.
• An orange cat was reported missing at 3:16 p.m. from the 100 block of 6th Avenue.
