MONTICELLO — On Sept. 26: 

● A traffic complaint involving a possible intoxicated driver was reported at 3 p.m. in the 600 block of East Coates Avenue. The vehicle was not located. 

● Officers assisted a citizen regarding letters about parking violations from the city of Milwaukee at 2:10 p.m. Sept. 27 in the 200 block of North Main Street. The citizen does not own the vehicle in question and been disputing the violations. 

On Sept. 28: 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 12:41 a.m. in the 300 block of South Monroe Street. Everything was found to be okay. 

● Officers notified a resident about a tree on their property that poses a danger to the public at 10:41 a.m. in the 200 block of Lake Avenue. Resident was advised to cut it down. 

● Officers notified a resident about a tree on their property that poses a danger to the public at 10:46 a.m. in the 700 block of East Lake Avenue. Resident was advised to cut it down. 

On Sept. 29: 

● Pills found in front of a business was reported at 11:36 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. The pills were collected and bagged and placed in village drug drop box. 

● Harassing text messages were reported at 3:38 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. This is under investigation. 

On Oct. 1: 

● A traffic hazard was reported at 12:23 p.m. on Wis. 69 and West Coates Avenue. 

● Rebekah A. Bak, Monticello, was cited for disorderly conduct at 5:16 p.m. at a business in the 100 block of Wis. 69. 

On Oct. 2: 

● Illegal burning was reported at 4:46 p.m. in the 600 block of East Lake Avenue. Resident was advised to extinguish the fire. 

● Yelling was reported at 5:10 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. This remains under investigation. 

● Jose L. Rojas, Beloit, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct while armed with a knife at 6:44 p.m. in the 600 block of East Lake Avenue. He was jailed. Jonathan Detejada, Monticello, was also arrested on a charge of felony bail jumping. He was jailed. Green County Sheriff’s Office assisted. 

On Oct. 5: 

● Illegal dumping of animals was reported at 3:04 p.m. It was determined incidents took place in another jurisdiction. The caller was informed of agency to report incident to. 

● Officers conducted traffic control at 4:03 p.m. on North Main Street and East Coates Avenue. 

On Oct. 6: 

● A found wallet was turned into the police department at 1:31 p.m. The wallet was returned to owner. 

● Officers, Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS responded for an emergency at 9:27 p.m. in Monticello. 

● Officers responded to check welfare on juveniles at 12:37 p.m. Oct. 7. It was found they live outside the village. Information was turned over to appropriate agency. 

● Fraud was reported at 3:59 p.m. Oct. 8. 

On Oct. 9: 

● A parking complaint was reported at 1:17 p.m. in the 400 block of East Wisconsin Avenue. 

● Officers responded at 6:54 p.m. to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

● A dog at large was reported at 1:07 p.m. Oct. 10 on North Main Street and East Lake Avenue. The owner was issued a warning. 

On Oct. 11: 

● A parking complaint was reported at 12:34 p.m. in the 200 block of South Main Street. The vehicle was moved by owner. 

● Officers responded at 1:02 p.m. to the village. Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS assisted. 

On Oct. 12: 

● Officers conducted traffic control at 1:25 p.m. on North Main Street and East Coates Avenue. 

● Unwanted phone calls were reported at 4:58 p.m. This remains under investigation. 

● Dogs at large were reported at 6:07 p.m. in the 300 block of South Monroe Street. Owner took custody of dogs. A warning was issued. 

On Oct. 13: 

● Officers responded for a vehicle unlock at 5:57 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

● A possible abandoned/disabled vehicle was reported at 7:06 p.m. in the 100 block of South Pratt Road. The vehicle was later removed. 

On Oct. 14: 

● An incident that occurred the evening of Oct. 13 in the 300 block of South Main Street was reported at 7:43 a.m. This is under investigation. 

● Officers assisted Green County Human Services with a check welfare at 8:45 a.m. This remains under investigation. 

● A fraud complaint was reported at 1:38 p.m. No personal information was exchanged. 

● A found cell phone was reported at 1:39 p.m. The phone was severely damaged. It was turned over to U.S. Cellular. 

● A lost boat key was reported at 1:42 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

● Ryan P. Bechtolt, Monroe, was cited for driving while revoked at 3:37 p.m. in the 100 block of Wis. 69. 

● Douglas Hall, Monroe, was cited for driving while revoked at 6:41 p.m. on East Coates Avenue and North Pratt Road. 

● Officers located an unsecure door at 10:05 p.m. at an undisclosed location. Everything was found to be okay. Owner was notified. Door was secured. 

On Oct. 15: 

● Officers assisted Green County Sheriff’s Office at 6:35 a.m. in the N6200 block of Wis. 69. 

● A parking complaint was reported at 11:53 a.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

● Fraud involving an unemployment claim was reported at 3:14 p.m. in the 500 block of South Main Street. The unemployment office fraud investigators were contacted. 

● Speeding was reported at 3:46 p.m. on East Lake Avenue. The area was monitored by officers. 

● Officers conducted traffic control at 3:50 p.m. in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

● A final notice for a code violation was issued at 5:31 p.m. at a residence in the 200 block of East Lake Avenue. 

● A dog bite was reported at 5:34 p.m. in the 600 block of Terrace Court. Green County Health Department was notified. 

● A found wedding ring was turned into the police department at 5:36 p.m. It was found in the parking lot next to the police department. 

 

Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD —  For the week of Oct. 3 to Oct. 9, police performed 53 security checks, 11 citizen assists, 11 assists of other agencies, nine follow-ups to incidents, 16 vehicle registration and four traffic stops; responded to 35 calls for service and reported three EMS calls, five 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Oct. 3: 

● A curfew violation was reported at 12:57 a.m. in the 900 block of Alpine Street. Juveniles were returned home. Verbal warnings were given. 

● Suspicious activity was reported at 10:57 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street. 

● Lights on in a business after hours was reported at 11:28 p.m. in the 200 block of 23rd Street. It was found to be employees working. 

On Oct 4: 

● Fraud was reported at 4:02 p.m. in the 700 block of East 3rd Avenue.
