Monroe Police

MONROE — Stephanie R. Scott, 32, Monroe, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. Nov. 13 in the 1600 block of 12th Street on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Community Corrections following a 911 call from a residence. She was jailed.

●  Vincent J. Buholzer, 23, Monroe, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:41 a.m. Nov. 15 in the 2000 block of 9th Street. He was also cited for driving after revocation. He was released to a responsible person pending court. His passenger, Bryce M. Messerli, 26, Monroe, was arrested and jailed on a charge of bail jumping.


Brodhead Police 

BRODHEAD — For the week of Nov. 8 to Nov. 14, police performed 56 security checks, 19 citizen assists, five assists of other agencies, 10 follow-ups to incidents, one vehicle registration and six traffic stops; responded to 45 calls for service and reported five EMS calls, 10 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported.

On Nov. 8:

●  Citations for vehicles in violation of the city’s 48-hour parking ordinance were issued in the 1200 block of 11th Street, 1100 block of West 5th Avenue, 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue and 1000 block of West Exchange Street.

●  Vehicles in violation of the city’s Junk Vehicle Ordinance were reported in the 1200 block of 11th Street, 1100 block of West 5th Avenue, 1000 block of West Exchange Street, 300 block of 1st Center Avenue and 100 block of Juniper Avenue.

●  Subjects wearing hoodies walking down the street were reported at 2:59 a.m. in the 1000 block of West 3rd Avenue. Police patrolled the area and were unable to locate any suspicious activity.

●  A tree branch in the roadway was reported at 12 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street. Police moved the branch off the road.

●  A computer that may have been hacked was reported at 3:48 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. Police investigated and found nothing suspicious.

On Nov. 9:

●  A vehicle parked in a lot after-hours was reported at 2:50 a.m. and at 3 a.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police investigated and found nothing suspicious.

●  A worthless check was reported at 2:37 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Nov. 10:

●  Theft was reported at 2:29 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  Police referred charges of bail jumping to the Green County District Attorney’s Office at 9:14 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Nov. 11:

●  Lights on after-hours was reported at 12:08 a.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. Investigation found it to be an employee cleaning.

●  A semi-trailer in the roadway was reported at 2:59 p.m. in the 300 block of 23rd Street. The driver safely reloaded the trailer and removed it from the roadway.

On Nov. 12:

●  A Brodhead man, 27, was warned for a vehicle in violation of the city’s Junk Vehicle Ordinance at 8:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A deer carcass hanging in a tree was reported at 9:48 a.m. in the 1400 block of East 4th Avenue. The homeowners were advised of the city’s animal control ordinance that any carcass must be disposed of within 24 hours.

●  A Brodhead man, 46, was cited for possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle at 6:10 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. A 23-year-old Brodhead man was cited for possession of open intoxicants in a vehicle, no proof of vehicle insurance, driving without a valid license and parking left of center.

●  Disorderly conduct involving threatening text messages was reported at 9:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Juniper Avenue.

●  A person splitting wood with a log splitter was reported at 11 p.m. in the 700 block of West 2nd Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

On Nov. 13:

●  A dog at large was reported at 11:01 a.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  Harassment involving unsolicited text messages was reported at 6:25 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street.

●  A Brodhead man, 18, was cited for failure to yield when emerging from an alley at 9:19 a.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue. 


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Dakota K. Chamblee, 19, Connor K. Shrier, 19, and Trenton M. Sauer, 19, all of Brodhead, were cited for theft Nov. 12 after an investigation into the theft of road signs throughout the Town of Spring Grove in June. The deputy was able to recover the stolen road signs.

●  Zachary T. Hennessy, 19, Monroe, was arrested at 10:45 a.m. Nov. 13 at the Probation and Parole Office in Monroe on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections probation hold. He was jailed.

On Nov. 15:

●  Deputies located an occupied vehicle at 12:28 a.m. parked in the N8800 block of Liberty Pole Hill Road, Town of Brooklyn. Andrew Ottman, 36, Belleville, was cited for driving after revocation and failure to install an ignition interlock device.

●  Evodio Francisco Lopez, 49, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license at 11:21 a.m. in the W2900 block of County EE, Town of Mount Pleasant. 


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Oct. 18:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12:56 a.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont, and at 9:35 a.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 9:27 a.m. and at 8:25 p.m. on Noble Street in Gratiot.

●  Theft was reported at 2:11 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock at 5:37 p.m. on South Mound Avenue in Belmont.

●  An animal complaint was reported at 6 p.m. on County F, Town of Darlington.

●  Harassment was reported at 7:53 p.m. on South Galena Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 8:32 p.m. on County D, Town of Fayette.

On Oct. 19:

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 7:55 a.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:54 a.m. and at 12:55 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  Property damage was reported at 1:21 p.m. on County N, Town of Wiota. A round hay bale fell off its transport and hit a mailbox, causing damage.

●  An animal bite was reported at 2:19 p.m. on Wood Street in Belmont.

●  An animal problem was reported at 5:13 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  Isaac C. Wiegel, 21, Belmont, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 10:48 p.m. on Wis. 126, Town of Elk Grove.

On Oct. 20:

●  A deputy assisted Madison police at 12:03 a.m. on Third Street in Argyle.

●  A deputy located a disabled vehicle at 5:55 a.m. on Roaster Road, Town of Benton.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:43 p.m. on County Z, Town of Darlington, and at 8:07 p.m. on South Galena Road, Town of Elk Grove.

●  A deputy assisted a citizen at 11:41 p.m. on Whaley Court in Benton. Benton First Response assisted.

On Oct. 21:

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 12:32 a.m. on Walnut Street in Belmont.

●  An animal noise complaint was reported at 3:12 a.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with an animal problem at 5:51 a.m. on Ravine Street in Darlington.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a citizen assist at 6:21 a.m. on High View Drive in Darlington.

●  An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 8:53 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  Fraud involving identity theft was reported at 9:18 a.m. on Center Drive Road, Town of Belmont.

●  A parking problem was reported at 10:50 a.m. on Aetna Road, Town of Benton.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:19 p.m. on County G, Town of Argyle; 4:20 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot; and 8:24 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle.

●  Theft of political signs from a residential property was reported at 3:15 p.m. on County O, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 5:43 p.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall.

●  Jett D. Boebel, 18, Lancaster, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and no vehicle insurance at 10:53 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

On Oct. 26:

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 11:30 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot, and at 3:51 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  A person making threats to injure via the internet was reported at 4:24 p.m. on East Faith Street in Shullsburg. The person making the threats was not in the area. All subjects were warned.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 6:39 p.m. on County E, Town of Darlington.

●  A suspicious person observed outside a residence was reported at 7:21 p.m. on Faymont Road, Town of Fayette. Deputies checked the area and did not locate the person.

On Oct. 27:

●  A deputy assisted Lafayette County Human Services with a welfare check at 11:14 a.m. on County I, Town of Benton.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 11:40 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington, and at 12:43 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 5:53 p.m. on Palfrey Road, Town of New Diggings. As a result, Lori A. Bordner, 53, Shullsburg, was arrested and booked on a charge of disorderly conduct, then released on a cash bond.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 8:21 a.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

●  A missing or stolen computer that was out for virtual learning in the Black Hawk School District was reported at 1:04 p.m. on East Center Street in South Wayne.

●  Jon S. Simmons, 59, Warren, was arrested for driving after revocation at 3:02 p.m. on South Prairie Road, Town of Gratiot. He was booked and released.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 3:59 p.m. on South Van Buren Street in Benton. Shullsburg police assisted.

●  A deputy responded for a vehicle unlock at 4:56 p.m. on West Main Street in Benton.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with traffic control at 6:27 p.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 7:18 p.m. on Galena Street in Benton. Shullsburg police assisted.

●  An injured animal was reported at 7:36 p.m. on Gravel Run Road, Town of Fayette.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 7:50 p.m. on Leahy Road, Town of Gratiot. Shullsburg police assisted.

On Oct. 30:

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a traffic stop at 12:56 a.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 1:02 a.m. on County F, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded for a medical emergency at 9:26 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  An animal bite was reported at 12:09 p.m. on South Galena Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy assisted Argyle police with a suspicious activity complaint at 3:06 p.m. on East Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

●  A dispute over child custody was reported at 3:27 p.m. on Maple Street in Blanchardville.

●  Disorderly conduct involving juveniles pushing each other was reported at 4:06 p.m. on Alma Street in Benton.

●   Heidi S. Wienkes, 44, Highland, was cited for speeding at 5:18 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Gratiot.

●  Jordan A.R. Payne, 18, Bartlett, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 5:28 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Gratiot.

●  An erratic driver was reported at 7:34 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. Belmont police assisted.

●  Deputies responded to keep the peace at 7:47 p.m. on Galena Street in Benton.

●  A deputy assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with a car vs. deer accident at 8:16 p.m. on County C, Green County.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 11:44 p.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Kendall.

●  A deputy responded to keep the peace at 9:11 a.m. on County W, Town of Benton.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:36 p.m. on Aetna Road, Town of Benton.

●  A smashed-out truck window was reported at 3:20 p.m. on Jordan-Wiota Road, Town of Argyle.
