Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — On Nov. 3:

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 10:36 a.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Street

●  Theft of tools was reported at 2:23 p.m. in the 400 block of Monroe Street.

●  A 911 hang-up was reported at 4:23 p.m. in the 400 block of North Pratt Road. Everything was OK.

On Nov. 4:

●  A parking complaint was reported at 6:07 a.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Street. Police contacted the owner, who stated the vehicle would be removed immediately.

●  A burn barrel complaint was reported at 6:11 p.m. at South Main Street and Urban Road. The barrel was extinguished prior to police arrival.

On Nov. 5:

●  A parking complaint was reported at 9:04 a.m. in the 400 block of North Monroe Street. The owner was cited for non-registration of a vehicle and violating 24-hour parking.

On Nov. 6:

●  Edwin J. Erskine, 18, Monroe, was cited at 6:59 a.m. for excessive window tint.

●  Nikoleen R. Attwell, 31, Monticello, was cited at 7:38 a.m. for excessive window tint.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Donalvin Weatherby, 26, Madison, was cited for speeding, driving without a license and possession of THC at 1:28 p.m. Oct. 19 in the W5200 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe.

● Timothy Decker, 38, and Carmen Decker, 39, both of Juda, were arrested on domestic abuse-related charges of disorderly conduct after deputies responded for a domestic disturbance at 7:39 p.m. Oct. 30 in the W2900 block of Main Street, Town of Jefferson. Both were jailed pending bond or court.

On Nov. 1:

●  Benjamin A. Hunt, 31, Evansville, was arrested on domestic abuse- related charges of disorderly conduct, theft, criminal trespass to a dwelling and misdemeanor bail jumping after deputies responded for a report of domestic abuse at 4:25 a.m. in the W900 block of Mohns Clark Road, Town of Spring Grove. He posted bond and was released pending court.

●  Cory M. Segner, 24, Monroe, was arrested on a second-offense charge of operating while intoxicated following a traffic stop at 4:52 p.m. in the N900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno. He was released to a responsible party.  

●  A Town of Cadiz patrolman reported littering in the N1200 block of Lawver Road, Town of Cadiz, at 10:09 a.m. Nov. 3, after finding general household trash and some electronic gear in the ditch. Items in the garbage indicated it came from a residence on Round Grove Road. Contact was made with resident Scott I. Senovitz, 21, Monroe, who admitted the garbage came from him. A citation for littering was mailed to him. 

●  Anthony Alongi, 31, Browntown, was arrested at 11:19 a.m. Nov. 4 on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections hold in the 2800 block of 6th Street in Monroe. He was jailed.

On Nov. 7:

●  Silva Marcos Rangel, 26, Beloit, was cited for driving after revocation at 6:50 p.m. in the W3800 block of Wis. 11, Town of Sylvester.

●  Leticia Luna Castellanos, 32, Monroe, was cited for driving without a valid license at 9:51 p.m. in the W3600 block of Wis. 11, Town of Sylvester.

●  Lucky Wells, 16, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of operating while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance with a passenger younger than 16 at 11:10 p.m. in the W4100 block of Wis. 11, Town of Sylvester. He was also cited for possession of THC and tobacco by a minor and speeding. He was released pending court. 


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Oct. 25 to Oct. 31, police performed 48 security checks, 23 citizen assists, five assists of other agencies, 11 follow-ups to incidents, 24 vehicle registrations and 16 traffic stops; responded to 22 calls for service and reported 11 EMS calls, 15 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and one fire call. No detox or mental health transports were reported.

On Oct. 25:

●  Suspicious activity involving lights on in a building was reported at 12:49 a.m. in the 800 block of 16th Street. Police found no suspicious activity.

●  A physical altercation between two people was reported at 2:08 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street. Verbal warnings were issued.

●  A dog at large was reported at 5:06 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue. The dog was returned and the owners warned.

●  A Monroe juvenile was warned for curfew at 11:53 p.m. in the 900 block of 12th Street.

On Oct. 26:

●  A Brodhead man, 44, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping at 8:41 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

●  An Argyle man, 58, was cited for unsafe passing on the right at 10:53 a.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Oct. 28:

●  Police made contact with a person cutting trees at 9:27 p.m. in the 1100 block of 11th Street. Police contacted the landowner, who advised the person was approved to be on the property and cutting trees.

On Oct. 30:

●  A Beloit man, 30, was cited for speeding at 3:10 p.m. in the 300 block of 1st Street.

●  A Beloit man, 29, was cited for driving after revocation at 3:37 p.m. in the 1700 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Oct. 31:

●  A Milton man, 21, was cited for driving after suspension and failure to obtain vehicle title at 10:55 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A dog at large was reported at 2:15 p.m. in the 500 block of East 2nd Avenue. The dog was returned. The owner was warned.

●  Suspicious activity involving a car parked in a lot was reported at 6:09 p.m. in the 1000 block of 13th Street. Police investigated and found nothing suspicious.

●  Juveniles knocking on doors and running away was reported at 9:47 p.m. in the 600 block of East 2nd Avenue. Police were unable to locate them.

●  For the week of Nov. 1 to Nov. 7, police performed 40 security checks, 23 citizen assists, 18 assists of other agencies, seven follow-ups to incidents, three vehicle registrations and five traffic stops; responded to 26 calls for service and reported seven EMS calls, 12 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and three fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Nov. 1:

●  A dog at large was reported at 3:42 p.m. in the 1000 block of East 5th Avenue. The dog was secured. The owners were warned.

On Nov. 2:

●  Pumpkins in the roadway were reported at 5:08 a.m. in the 2300 block of East 9th Avenue. Police removed the pumpkins.

●  A Brodhead man, 68, was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign at 12:53 p.m. in the 1700 block of West 9th Avenue, following a traffic crash.

●  Theft was reported at 1:29 p.m. in the 700 block of McEwen Street.

●  A Brodhead man, 18, was cited for possession of THC and possession, manufacture or delivery of drug paraphernalia at 8:25 p.m. in the 800 block of 17th Street.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 7:58 p.m. Nov. 3 in the 700 block of 21st Street. Police found nothing suspicious.

On Nov. 4:

●  Dogs barking for an extended period was reported at 2:03 p.m. in the 1300 block of West 4th Avenue. A verbal warning was issued.

●  Truancy was reported at 2:33 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

●  Physical disorderly conduct was reported at 6:43 p.m. at a residence in the 1000 block of 21st Street. A 17-year old Brodhead man was referred to the Green County District Attorney for charges.

●  Suspicious activity involving an adult taking photos of children in a park was reported at 6:52 p.m. at Putnam Park, 4th Street at West 3rd Avenue. Police did not locate the photographer. Investigation is ongoing.

●  A Brodheadman, 23, was cited for parking facing traffic at 2:28 a.m. Nov. 5 in the 700 block of 11th Street.

On Nov. 6:

●  Debris in the roadway was reported at 5:21 a.m. in the 1800 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police cleared the debris.

●  Two Brodhead boys, both 16, were warned for truancy at about 8:40 p.m., following a phone call.

On Nov. 7:

●  An animal carcass in the roadway was reported at 5:12 a.m. in the 600 block of East 9th Avenue. Police removed the carcass.

●  Suspicious activity involving a vehicle parked in a lot afterhours was reported at 10 p.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police made contact, and the vehicle was removed. Nothing suspicious was detected.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Oct. 10:

●  Aaron N. Coley, 21, Benton, was arrested on Lafayette County warrants at 1:59 a.m. and transported to the jail, then released after posting bond.

●  Deputies responded for an alarm at 3:27 a.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

●  Quinton J. Smith, 29, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 5:26 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

●  Vandalism to property was reported at 8:09 a.m. on County F, Town of Seymour. Items were painted.

●  Trespassing to a yard during an argument over ordinance matters was reported at 9:21 a.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 3:13 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:43 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs and at 9:29 p.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Benton.

●  Michael Bello, 38, Darlington, was cited for driving with a revoked license at 6:57 p.m. on Wells Street in Darlington.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 7:31 p.m. on Lake Road, Town of Fayette.

On Oct. 11:

●  Scot M. Meneguin, 34, Argyle, was arrested  on a charge of driving after revocation due to an OWI at 2:18 a.m. at Wis. 81 and County G in Argyle. He was transported to jail and released to a responsible party. He was also cited for unnecessary acceleration and operating with a prohibited blood-alcohol content.

●  An animal-related complaint of trespassing to land was reported at 3:37 a.m. on Valley Road, Town of Argyle.

●  A deputy responded for an alarm at 12:50 p.m. on Mill Street in Blanchardville.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 2:30 p.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 4:33 p.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Darlington; and at 5:58 p.m. on School Street in Blanchardville.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 6:15 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  Theft of a Trump sign and flags was reported at 7:47 p.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall.

On Oct. 12:

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a welfare check at 12:12 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

●  A suspicious car was reported at 12:55 a.m. on Galena Street in Argyle. A deputy checked the area.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 5:19 a.m. on Sheldon Street in Gratiot and at 6:37 a.m. on High Street, Town of New Diggings.

●  An injured animal on the roadway was reported at 2:05 p.m. on County O, Town of Seymour.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 7:30 p.m. on County O, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A hit-and-run was reported at 7:37 p.m. on Alma Street in Benton.

On Oct. 13:

●  Peter T. Levesque, 31, Auburn, Massachusetts, was cited for imprudent and unreasonable speed at 5:58 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:40 a.m. on West Grove Street in South Wayne.

●  Theft was reported at 9:29 a.m. on Pond View Lane, Town of Willow Springs. As a result, Bradley William Weist, 55, Fennimore, faces charges of felony burglary and misdemeanor theft.

●  A deputy assisted a citizen at 1:05 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy located a disabled vehicle at 7:37 p.m. on County W, Town of Shullsburg.

●  Adam J. Shanley, 22, Platteville, was cited for no vehicle insurance at 10:33 p.m. on County B, Town of Belmont.

On Oct. 14:

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 5:14 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 6:34 a.m. on West Main Street in Benton. Benton First and Hazel Green EMS assisted.

●  A deputy assisted Shullsburg police with a juvenile problem at 8:58 a.m. on North Judgement Street in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded for a minor two-vehicle accident at 10:16 a.m. on Hirsbrunner Road, Town of Fayette.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 11:09 a.m. on Apple Grove Church Road, Town of Argyle.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 1:35 p.m. on Alma Street in Benton.

●  A suspicious car was reported at 1:47 p.m. on County N, Town of Wayne. A deputy checked the area.

●  A scam involving defrauding was reported at 5:33 p.m. on County D, Town of Darlington.

●  Bryce H. Gregory, 18, Cuba City, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 10:12 p.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock at 2:30 a.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:50 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  Theft of tools and other items from a quarry on North Lane Road, Town of Kendall, was reported at 1:12 p.m.

●  An argument over a civil dispute was reported at 2:46 p.m. on Galena Street in Argyle. The reported offending party left prior to a deputy’s arrival.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 9:42 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  A deputy assisted Belmont police with a traffic stop at 11:05 p.m. on South Mound Avenue in Belmont.
