Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of April 28-May 4, police performed 64 security checks, 38 citizen assists, eight assists of other agencies, 16 vehicle registrations and nine follow-ups to incidents; responded to 39 calls for service, nine EMS calls and 13 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made three traffic stops. One mental health transport and no detox transports or fire calls were reported.

On Sunday, April 28:

●  A Pecatonica man, 63, was cited for speeding at 7:14 a.m. in the 400 block of 1st Street.

●  A road hazard of glass in the roadway was reported at 8:43 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The hazard was cleared.

●  A lost child was reported at 7:58 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 2nd Avenue. The child had become separated from his family while visiting. He was located and returned to a relative.

On Monday, April 29:

●  Police were dispatched to check the welfare of a possibly intoxicated subject at 12:39 a.m. in the 1500 block of West 3rd Avenue. Police checked the area and did not locate the person.

●  Police made contact with a suspicious vehicle at 12:42 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 3rd Avenue. It belonged to a service technician working on equipment.

On Tuesday, April 30:

●  A semi parked off the truck route was reported at 12:52 a.m. in the 2500 block of East 3rd Avenue. Police made contact, and the semi was moved.

●  A semi parked off the truck route was reported at 1:29 a.m. in the 2500 block of East 3rd Avenue. Police made contact, and the semi was moved.

On Wednesday, May 1:

●  Truancy was reported at 10:47 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  Several parking violations of vehicles parked facing traffic were reported at 3:41 p.m. in the 700 block of 18th Street. Warnings were issued.

●  A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 3:47 p.m. in the 700 block of 17th Street. A warning was issued.

●  An underage ATV driver was reported at 3:48 p.m. in the 2500 block of 1st Center Avenue. A parent was contacted and a warning issued.

On Thursday, May 2:

●  A mailbox was located in the roadway at 6:17 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 3rd Avenue. Police canvassed the neighborhood but found no mailboxes missing in the area.

●  Harassment via social media was reported at 9 a.m. in the 1400 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued.

●  A juvenile was cited for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 9:50 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Another juvenile was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana near certain places. A third juvenile was referred to Juvenile Intake on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and being party to a crime.

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 7:22 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. A letter was received that disturbed the recipient. A warning was issued to the sender.

●  Vehicles left in the parking lot of a business were reported at 10:13 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police made contact, and the vehicles were removed.

On Friday, May 3:

●  A Johnsburg, Illinois woman, 70, was cited for speeding at 10:27 a.m. in the 400 block of 1st Street.

●  A Whitewater man, 33, was cited for speeding at 12:36 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

●  A code violation of debris left in the alleyway was reported at 2:33 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Saturday, May 4:

●  A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 4 a.m. in the 500 block of 11th Street. A warning was issued.

●  A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 4:14 a.m. in the 600 block of 8th Street. A warning was issued.

●  A Brodhead woman, 39, was cited for inattentive driving at 8:18 a.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue, following a traffic crash.

●  A Brodhead man, 36, was arrested on a Rock County warrant at 9:14 a.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A vehicle in violation of the city’s Junk Vehicle Ordinance was reported at 1:30 p.m. in the 600 block of West 3rd Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  An animal problem of dogs barking in excess of three hours was reported at 3:09 p.m. in the 1000 block of 9th Street. Upon police arrival, no violation was noted.

●  A complaint of vehicles blocking visibility at an intersection was reported at 5:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street. Upon police arrival, no violation was noted.

●  A fireworks violation was reported at 9:37 p.m. in the 100 block of 15th Street. A warning was issued.

●  A Brodhead man, 53, was cited for a heavy truck route violation in the N400 block of East 2nd Avenue, for a violation reported April 27.

●  A Brodhead man, 25, was cited for a junked vehicles storage restriction violation in the 1000 block of 5th Street, for a violation reported April 18.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — On Saturday, May 4:

●  Kevin Garcia-Morazan, 24, Darlington, was cited for disorderly conduct at about 8 a.m., following an investigation into a disturbance at a park.

●  Laura L. Gundlach, 50, Shullsburg, was cited for theft at about 9 a.m., following the investigation of a gas drive-off at a gas station on Wis. 23.


Monroe Police 

MONROE — Carl G. Huber, 57, Monroe, was arrested on charges of false imprisonment and disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence Laws at 7:05 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, in conjunction with an investigation into a reported domestic dispute at a residence in the 1400 block of 23rd Avenue. He was jailed pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Thursday, May 2:

●  Justin S. Keeran, 29, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol after deputies stopped him at 1:15 p.m. for failure to stop at a stop sign at County K and County S, Town of Jefferson. He was also cited for driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and failure to stop at a stop sign. He was held at the jail pending release to a responsible party.

●  Michael D. Halvorsen, 29, New Glarus, was arrested on multiple warrants at 9:27 p.m. in the N6400 block of County N, Town of Washington. He was jailed pending court. Court records indicate he was wanted in Dane County on felony charges of possessing narcotic drugs. In addition, he was charged April 26 in Green County Circuit Court with a felony count of misappropriating ID info to obtain money, four counts of felony bail jumping and misdemeanor counts of credit card theft and credit card fraud. According to police reports filed with the criminal complaint, he stole a wallet from his mother at her rural Monticello residence on Feb. 25 and used her debit card to withdraw money and make purchases. Police noted his mother has “severe concerns about her son and his heroin usage.”

On Saturday, May 4:

●  Elvis M. Familia, 37, Beloit, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and driving without a valid license following a traffic stop at 4:58 p.m. at County GG and Wis. 11.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Friday, April 19:

●  Marissa L. Gould, 17, Darlington, was cited for inattentive driving after a deputy responded to a report of an erratic driver at 6:07 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  An animal injured in the roadway was reported at 8:10 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette.

On Saturday, April 20:

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 1:25 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. As a result, Fataki Mavuba, 22, Milwaukee, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance, driving with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle as a permittee with another person in the vehicle and possession of open intoxicants. Delphin Mpondamali, 18, Milwaukee, was cited for possession of open intoxicants.

●  Livestock in the roadway was reported at 5:31 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  An animal injured in the roadway was reported at 6:24 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont.

●  Bail jumping was reported at 8:20 a.m. on Edison Road, Town of Benton.

●  A scam was reported at 1:41 p.m. on West Estey Street in Shullsburg.

●  Keith C. Dammen, 20, Darlington, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 8:03 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  A deputy responded at 10:23 p.m. to Main Street in Darlington to assist Darlington police with a juvenile complaint.

●  Jesse G. Allendorf, 28, Apple River, Illinois, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 10:32 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded at 11:13 p.m. to Main Street in Darlington to assist Darlington police with a report of suspicious activity.

●  Jaymeson A. Davenport, 19, Benton, was arrested on a probation and parole hold after deputies responded to a report of disorderly conduct at 11:33 p.m. on 1st Street in Benton. He was jailed.

On Sunday, April 21:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 12:02 a.m. on Red Rock Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Drew P. McCarthy, 18, Benton, was cited for possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia at 1:29 a.m. on County J, Town of Benton.

●  A juvenile problem was reported at 1:51 a.m. on South Iowa Street in Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded for a lift assist at 7:46 a.m. on Galena Street in Darlington.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 8:27 a.m. on County O, Town of Kendall.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 4:19 p.m. on Tibbits Road, Town of Kendall.

●  Deputies responded to assist Darlington police with a welfare check at 5:03 p.m. on Driver Street in Darlington.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 6:01 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota.

●  A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with a welfare check at 9:11 p.m. on Division Street in Darlington. Green County EMS of Darlington assisted on scene.

●  A noise complaint was reported at 10:11 p.m. on East Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  Cassandra J. Williams, 31, Lancaster, was arrested on charges of battery, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property after a deputy responded to a domestic dispute at 10:26 p.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Belmont. She was jailed. The Belmont Police Department and Southwest Health EMS also responded to the scene.

●  A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with a suspicious activity complaint at 10:51 p.m. on East Street in Darlington.

On Monday, April 22:

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 12:15 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Deputies responded at 4:24 a.m. to assist Darlington police with an alarm on Clay Street.

●  Katie L. Kruger, 21, Scales Mound, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 6:10 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with traffic control at 12:05 p.m. on East Harriet Street.

●  Theft was reported at 2:06 p.m. on South Lafayette Street in Argyle.

●  A deputy responded to keep the peace at 4:03 p.m. on Mitchell Hollow Road, Town of Belmont.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 7:26 p.m. on Field Drive Road, Town of Belmont.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 8:30 p.m. on Aetna Road, Town of New Diggings.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with a disorderly conduct case at 10:01 p.m. on East Street.

On Tuesday, April 23:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:37 a.m. on Porter Road, Town of Wiota.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 7:48 a.m. on West Wisconsin Avenue in Belmont.

●  Scott A. Kraft, 49, Boscobel, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 9:12 a.m. on County D, Town of Wayne.

●  Harassment was reported at 10:51 a.m. on Bethel Grove Road, Town of Belmont.

●  A deputy responded at 11:32 a.m. to U.S. 151, Town of Belmont, to assist the Grant County Sheriff’s Office with a theft case.

●  A deputy responded to provide traffic control at 12:57 p.m. on Prairie Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 1:20 p.m. on Riverside Road, Town of Gratiot.
