Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Andrew R. Converse, 31, Albany, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:27 a.m. Mar. 3 in the N6300 block of Tin Can Road, Town of Albany. Albany police assisted. 


Monticello Police 

MONTICELLO —   On Feb. 22: 

●  Police issued five parking citations at 6 a.m. for violations of the village’s winter parking ordinance. 

●  A motor vehicle crash was reported at 7:40 a.m. on West Coates Avenue and Washington Street. Angela N. Cash, Monticello, was cited for failure to yield right away from stop sign. Both vehicles were towed. 

●  A traffic complaint involving vehicles with loud exhaust was reported at 1:12 p.m. in the 500 block of Summit Avenue. Police monitored area. 

On Feb. 23: 

●  Police were notified of a vehicle being repossessed at 8:32 a.m. within the village.  

●  Police assisted Green County EMS and Monticello Fire First Response at 9:41 a.m. and at 11:06 a.m. with a residential medical emergency. 

●  A motor vehicle crash with no injuries was reported at 1:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. A truck lift gate hit a downspout attached to a building causing damage to the downspout to a commercial business. This remains under investigation. 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 3:18 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. The vehicle was gone upon police arrival.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD— For the week of Feb. 21 to Feb. 27, police performed 21 security checks, 22 citizen assists, six assists of other agencies, four follow-ups to incidents, 14 vehicle registration and nine traffic stops; responded to 46 calls for service and reported nine EMS calls, 14 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and four fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Feb. 21: 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:10 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. Officers found nothing suspicious. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 11:20 p.m. in the 900 block of 1st Center Avenue. Officers found nothing suspicious.
