Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, July 25:

●  Matthew J. Elzen, 40, Darlington, was cited for driving with a suspended license and suspended vehicle registration at 3:56 p.m., following a traffic stop on Galena Street.

●  Craig S. Ferguson, 50, Mineral Point, was cited for non-registration of an auto at 11:03 p.m., following a traffic stop on Wis. 23. A Lafayette County deputy assisted.

On Friday, July 26:

●  Amos J. Breen, 36, Darlington, was arrested for a probation violation at about 7 p.m., following a welfare check at the campground.

On Sunday, July 28:

●  Corey R. Gleason, 19, Darlington, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct at 12:22 a.m., following a disturbance on Galena Street. The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office assisted on scene.

●  Morgan A. Baxter, 26, Darlington, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:36 a.m., following a traffic stop on Wis. 81. Baxter was also cited for making an improper right turn.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Curtis A. Fussell, 19, and Hailey M. Thompson, 18, both of Monroe, were arrested on domestic abuse-related charges after officers responded to a dispute in the 600 block of 8th Avenue at about 6:15 p.m. Friday, July 26. Fussell was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and felony bail jumping. Thompson was charged with disorderly conduct and battery. Both were jailed.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Kortney M. Lisser, 34, Albany, was arrested at the Green County Justice Center at 8:43 a.m. Thursday, July 25, after the Department of Corrections placed a probation hold on her. She was jailed.

DARLINGTON — On Wednesday, July 24:

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 4:39 p.m. on South Lake Road, Town of Argyle.

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 6:10 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  Irvin Cruz-Vera, 24, Shullsburg, was cited for driving without a valid license at 7:15 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  A traffic hazard was reported at 7:37 p.m. on White School Road, Town of Monticello.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:09 p.m. on Market Street in Belmont.

●  A deputy assisted Belmont police with an illegal burning complaint at 9:33 p.m. on Highland Street in Belmont.

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 10:08 p.m. on County J, Town of Benton.

On Thursday, July 25:

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 9:55 a.m. on County I, Town of Elk Grove.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 10:32 a.m. on Shawnee Road, Town of New Diggings.

●  An animal problem was reported at 11:40 a.m. on Jennings Road, Town of Wiota.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 11:59 a.m. on 1st Avenue in Benton.

●  Jasmine L. Jones, 24, Beloit, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 5:56 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 6:51 p.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:36 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

●  Property damage was reported at 8:20 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:57 p.m. on County N, Town of Wiota.

●  Scott E. Walton, 39, Shullsburg, was cited for driving without vehicle insurance and with a suspended license at 9:20 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.

On Friday, July 26:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7:30 a.m. on Jefferson Road, Town of Benton.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 9:42 a.m. on County M, Town of Wiota.

●  Marshall J. Hughes, 29, Dubuque, was cited for speeding at 4:12 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 6:58 p.m. on Washington Street in Darlington.

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 8:53 p.m. on Crabtree Corner Road, Town of Benton. Cuba City police assisted deputies on scene.

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 10:42 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 11 p.m. on County Z, Town of Darlington.

On Saturday, July 27:

●  A deputy responded to an alarm at 5:11 a.m. on North Mound View Avenue in Belmont.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 5:21 a.m. on County Shop Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 9:08 a.m. on Dump Road, Town of Benton.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 9:26 a.m. on Ohnstad Road, Town of Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.

●  Found property was reported at 1:41 p.m. on Cub Hollow Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Thomas J. Van Wie, 48, Sun Prairie, was cited for speeding at 4:23 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Matthew W. Grote, 28, Denver, Colorado, was cited for speeding and failure to stop at a stop sign at 5:31 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs.

●  Deputies responded to assist a citizen at 5:42 p.m. on Mineral Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy came upon livestock on the roadway at 7:16 p.m. on Sargent Road, Town of Wayne.

●  Richard E. Fernstaedt, 65, South Wayne, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated after a deputy responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident at 8:01 p.m. on East Center Street in South Wayne. Fernstaedt was transported to the jail, where he was released to a responsible party. He was also cited for hit-and-run damage to property and failure to keep vehicle under control.
