Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Conswello D. Robinson, 28, Freeport, was cited for driving after revocation and speeding at 2:06 a.m. July 5 in the N4900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. 

On July 6: 

●  Robert J. Koch, 60, Monroe, was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of bail jumping at 12:47 a.m. in the 2700 block of 6th Street in Monroe. He was also cited for driving without a valid license. He was jailed. 

●  Joseph M. Howden, 23, New Glarus, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse disorderly conduct at 7:47 p.m. at a residence int eh W6100 block of County H, Town of New Glarus. He was jailed. 

On July 7: 

●  Yvonne F. Katchenago, 23, Sherwood, was arrested on a charge of domestic abuse disorderly conduct at 2:18 a.m. on North Main Street in Monticello. She was released. 

●  Alton L. Bellows, 38, Monroe, was arrested on a probation warrant at 8:37 a.m. at the Department of Corrections Office in Monroe. He was jailed. 

 On July 11: 

●  Alan B. Lee, 55, Juda, was arrested on charges of driving with a restricted controlled substance, possession of THC and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia at 12 a.m. in the W5000 block of Wis. 11, Town of Monroe. He was also cited for driving with a defective headlight. He was jailed. 

●  Desiree A. Pagan, 39, Bull Valley, Illinois, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence at 9:20 p.m. in the N5400 block of Wis. 69, Town of Washington. She was also cited for unsafe lane deviation and unreasonable/imprudent speed. She was released. 

On July 12: 

●  Rutilio Aurelio Valdivia Viera, 29, Monroe, was cited for driving without valid license, second offense within three years, speeding and obstructing an officer at 5:51 a.m. in the N3900 block of Wis. 59, Town of Sylvester. 

●  Desiree A. Pagan, 39, Bull Valley, Illinois, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence at 6:06 a.m. in the W2400 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. She was also cited for speeding. She was released. 

●  Austin J. Ferguson, 25, Brodhead, was arrested on a probation hold issued by Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 3:09 p.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. He was jailed. 

●  Jamie W. Shaw, 48, Monroe, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence at 8:08 p.m. in the W4600 block of Woodridge Drive, Town of Sylvester. Shaw was released. 

●  James J. Smith, 43, Juda, was arrested on a felony warrant issued by Green County at 11:42 p.m. at a residence in the W2900 block of Main Street, Town of Jefferson. He was jailed. 

On July 14: 

●  Jenna J. Ils, 18, Brodhead, was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, underage possession of alcohol and speeding at 3:24 a.m. in the W100 block of Wis. 81, Town of Spring Grove. 

●  Micki F. Nafzger, 27, Monroe, was arrested on a probation hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 12:07 p.m. at the Green County Justice Center in Monroe. He was jailed. 

●  David M. J. Pestor, 20, Monticello, was arrested on a probation hold issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections at 1:44 p.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office in Monroe. He was jailed.


Monticello Police

MONTICELLO — A dog at large was reported at 12:39 p.m. July 2 in the 200 block of South Madison Street. 

On July 5: 

●  Police responded for a vehicle unlock at 12:05 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 1:11 p.m. in the 200 block of East Lake Avenue. 

●  A parking complaint was reported at 5:19 p.m. July 6 in the 200 block of Kennedy Street. The owner moved the vehicle. 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 5:24 p.m. July 7 in the 100 block of North Main Street. 

On July 8: 

●  Fraud involving no loss was reported at 10:43 a.m. in the 600 block of East Park Avenue. 

●  Police responded for a vehicle unlock at 1:53 p.m. in the 200 block of Oak Ridge Avenue. 

●  Fraud was reported at 2:16 p.m. in the 500 block of Sunset Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  Tristan R. Klassy, New Glarus, was cited for possession of THC and drug paraphernalia, defective/illegal exhaust and no vehicle insurance at 2:16 p.m. on East Lake Avenue and North Main Street. 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 3:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Main Street. This remains under investigation. 

●  Harassment was reported at 4:40 p.m. This remains under investigation. 

●  Police conducted traffic control for Monticello Fire First Response at 8:16 p.m. on North Main Street and East Coates Avenue. 

●  Dogs in the park that weren’t permitted was reported at 8:50 p.m. at Montesian Park. Police were unable to locate anyone with dogs in the park. 

●  Police assisted Monticello Fire First Response and Green County EMS at 9:19 p.m. in Monticello. 

●  Police were notified of a vehicle repossession taking place at 7:50 a.m. in Monticello.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — On June 27: 

●  A dog at large was reported at 7:23 a.m. in the 600 block of East 4th Avenue. Police did not locate the dog. 

●  A South Beloit, Illinois man, 20, was cited for speeding and improper registration at 8:54 a.m. in the 2100 block of East 3rd Avenue. 

●  A dog left in a vehicle was reported at 3 p.m. in the 900 block of Alpine Street. The dog was not in any distress and was removed by owner. 

On June 29: 

●  A Monroe woman, 75, was cited for auto following too closely following crash at 1:33 p.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street. 

●  Harassment was reported at 2:23 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Center Avenue. This remains under investigation. 

●  A fireworks violation was reported at 7:25 p.m. in the 900 block of East 4th Avenue and at 7:48 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police were unable to locate source of violations. 

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 8:21 p.m. in the 1000 block of 19th Street. A warning was issued. 

●  A subject in the park after hours was reported at 11:27 p.m. June 30 in the 400 block of West 3rd Avenue. A warning was issued.

On July 1: 

●  Theft was reported at 11:45 a.m. in the 1500 block of 19th Street. This remains under investigation. 

●  Fraud involving an attempt to collect unemployment was reported at 12:46 p.m. in the 1500 block of West 4th Avenue. 

●  A Brodhead woman, 78, was cited for issuance of worthless checks at 2:01 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

●  A Brodhead woman, 60, was cited for sale to underage person at 3:19 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 2nd Avenue. 

●  A Brodhead woman, 51, was cited for sale to underage person at 3:33 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

●  A Janesville woman, 61, was cited for sale to underage person at 4:14 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

On July 3: 

●  A Rockford, Illinois woman, 29, was cited for no proof of vehicle insurance at 6:10 p.m. in the 400 block of East 9th Avenue. 

●  A fireworks violation was reported at 9:28 p.m. in the 200 block of 14th Street. Police were unable to locate source of violation.

For the week of July 4 to July 10, police performed 52 security checks, 19 citizen assists, 12 assists of other agencies, eight follow-ups to incidents, 10 vehicle registration and 12 traffic stops; responded to 66 calls for service and reported 12 EMS calls, 15 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls and two fire calls. No detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On July 4: 

●  A fireworks violation was reported at 12 a.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue, at 12:10 a.m., 2:46 p.m. and 9:22 p.m. in the 700 block of West 2nd Avenue. Police checked areas but did not locate source of violations. 

●  Loitering was reported at 3:21 p.m. in the 1100 block of West 3rd Avenue. It was found to be a broken-down motorcycle being repaired. 

●  A Beloit man, 22, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated, causing injury, knowingly fleeing an officer, hit-and-run causing injury and recklessly endangering safety at 6:36 p.m. in the 2100 block of East 3rd Avenue. He was also cited for deviation from designated lane, unreasonable and imprudent speed and failure to stop at a stop sign. 

● A fireworks violation was reported at 9:33 p.m. in the 900 block of 13th Street, at 9:37 p.m. in the 900 block of 19th Street and at 11 p.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue. Warnings were issued. 

On July 5: 

●  An Argyle man, 56, was cited for inattentive driving at 6:14 a.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue. 

●  A Beloit man, 69, was cited for speeding at 10:50 a.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street. 

●  A vehicle in violation of the city’s junk vehicle ordinance was reported at 10:35 a.m. in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue. A warning was issued. 

●  A domestic problem was reported at 1:20 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. This was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office. 

●  A fireworks violation was reported at 4:32 p.m. in the 200 block of 7th Street and at 9:09 p.m. in the 400 block of 8th Street. Warnings were issued. 

On July 6: 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 1:05 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. While on call, a commercial burglary alarm was activated. Police cleared building and found no evidence of suspicious activity. 

●  A kitchen appliance sitting outside of building was reported at 8:59 a.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. Owner was advised to bring appliance inside. 

On July 7: 

●  Harassment involving receiving death threats via text was reported at 1:55 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. Subject advised to block sender and report any additional issues. 

●  Fraud involving a wire transfer was reported at 2:11 p.m. in the 700 block of West 2nd Avenue. Subject advised to file fraud complaint with bank and monitor credit. 

On July 8: 

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 12:36 a.m. in the 2500 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police found nothing suspicious. 

●  A Monroe woman, 46, was cited for driving after suspension at 1:09 a.m. in the 800 block of 21st Street. 

●  Fraud was reported at 9:57 p.m. to the Police Department lobby. Advised to contact bank and social security administration and to monitor credit.
