Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — Allen Coulthard Jr., 23, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated at 2:34 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, following a traffic stop on Louisa Street. He was also cited for his motor vehicle windows not being reasonably clean.


Monroe Police

MONROE — A person damaging a vehicle belonging to another person in the 1200 block of 15th Street was reported at 9:34 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8. When officers arrived on scene and attempted to make contact with the suspect, he fled on foot. The suspect, Chad M. Blaser, 23, Freeport, was arrested in the 1200 block of 17th Street after a short foot pursuit and charged with criminal damage to property as a felony due to the amount of damage to the vehicle, as well as misdemeanor disorderly conduct. Both charges were brought against Blaser under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence Law. He was also charged with resisting arrest, then jailed. In court the following day, his signature bond was set at $2,000 with conditions that he have no contact with the alleged victim except for third-party child exchange and no contact with her address in Monroe or an address in Lena, Illinois.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Dec. 23-29, police performed 16 security checks, 26 citizen assists, three assists of other agencies, 12 vehicle registrations and six follow-ups to incidents; responded to 12 calls for service, seven EMS calls, one fire call and four 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made eight traffic stops. There were no mental health or detox transports.

On Tuesday, Dec. 25:

●  A suspicious vehicle was reported at 1:22 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. Police made contact; the driver was learning how to drive.

On Wednesday, Dec. 26:

●  A Brodhead woman, 27, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 2:21 p.m. in the 2200 block of East 9th Avenue. She was also warned for having a defective muffler.

On Friday, Dec. 28:

●  A Brodhead man, 60, was cited for non-registration of an auto at 5:33 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Saturday, Dec. 29:

●  A Stoughton woman, 66, was cited for speeding at 3:06 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 3:43 p.m. in the 100 block of 1st Center Avenue. There was no damage; the vehicle was driven from the scene.

●  A traffic crash was reported at 4:16 p.m. in the 900 block of 6th Street. A vehicle had struck a stop sign. Police determined it was a non-reportable crash, and no citations were issued.

●  A traffic crash was reported at 4:57 p.m. in the 1400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police determined it was a non-reportable crash, and no citations were issued.

●  A Beloit man, 21, was cited in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue for issuing worthless checks, following an investigation into a report received Dec. 8.

 ●  For the week of Dec. 30-Jan. 5, police performed 18 security checks, 14 citizen assists, four assists of other agencies, 16 vehicle registrations and seven follow-ups to incidents; responded to 25 calls for service, nine EMS calls, one fire call and seven 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 11 traffic stops. There were no mental health or detox transports.

On Monday, Dec. 31:

●  People causing a disturbance were reported at 6:22 p.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street. They were warned for disorderly conduct.

On Tuesday, Jan. 1:

●  A dog at large was reported at 3:37 p.m. in the 1600 block of 19th Street. The owner was warned.

On Wednesday, Jan. 2:

●  A traffic crash was reported at 7:44 a.m. in the 1800 block of West 5th Avenue. A vehicle had failed to yield at the intersection and struck another vehicle before leaving the scene. The matter remains under investigation.

On Thursday, Jan. 3:

●  A Janesville man, 33, was cited for driving with a suspended license at 3:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of West Exchange Street.

●  A Pearl City, Illinois man, 32, was cited for speeding at 5 p.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Friday, Jan. 4:

●  Truancy was reported at 9:25 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue. A citation was issued.

●  A Brodhead boy, 17, was cited for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle at 10:39 a.m. in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

●  A gas drive-off was reported at 4:46 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Contact was made, and the matter was resolved.

On Saturday, Jan. 5:

●  Harassment involving unsolicited contact was reported at 5:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of 15th Street. Contact was made, and a warning was issued.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Thursday, Dec 27:

●  A deputy responded at 1 a.m. to North McKnight Street in South Wayne for a report of someone making threats to injure.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 3:33 a.m. on County P, Town of Monticello.

●  A disabled vehicle was reported at 10:45 a.m. on Whiteside Road, Town of Wiota.

●  An animal bite was reported at 11:06 a.m. on Main Street in Gratiot.

●  A deputy responded at 3:44 p.m. to Tornow Road, Town of Wayne, for a report of someone making threats to injure.

●  Deputies responded at 8:23 p.m. to Ingwell Road, Town of Blanchard, for a residential alarm.

●  Deputies responded at 11:33 p.m. to County G, Town of Fayette, to assist the Darlington Police Department with a welfare check.

On Friday, Dec. 28:

●  Deputies responded for a welfare check at 12:29 a.m. on Breeze Terrace Avenue in Argyle.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 6:58 a.m. on West Mound Road, Town of Belmont.

●  An animal problem was reported at 10:35 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 2:19 p.m. on County D, Town of Fayette.

●  Harassment was reported at 3:57 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington.

●  An animal problem was reported at 5:24 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

●  Timothy A. Fitzsimons, 28, Darlington, was arrested for a probation violation and charge of resisting or obstructing an officer after a deputy responded to a hit-and-run accident at 5:31 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. Fitzsimons was jailed. Green County EMS of Darlington and the Darlington Police and Fire Departments assisted.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 5:53 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 6:12 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

●  Joseph W. Bouxa, 23, Platteville, was cited for driving too fast for conditions after a deputy responded at 6:35 p.m. to U.S. 151, Town of Belmont, for a vehicle in the ditch.

●  Carla B. Kelley, 46, Monticello, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and failure to keep vehicle under control after a deputy responded at 10:01 p.m. to County U, Town of Seymour, for a vehicle in the ditch. Nena L. Juras, 31, Argyle, was cited for non-registration of an auto and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

●  Bradley E. Bodus, 22, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 11:25 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont.

On Sunday, Dec. 30:

●  A civil dispute was reported at 11:45 a.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  An animal problem was reported at 12:10 p.m. on Glenville Road, Town of Shullsburg.
