Brodhead Police 

BRODHEAD — For the week of Feb. 3-9, police performed 20 security checks, 44 citizen assists, 13 assists of other agencies, six vehicle registrations and four follow-ups to incidents; responded to 18 calls for service, 10 EMS calls, one fire call and eight 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made five traffic stops. There were no detox or mental health transports.

On Sunday, Feb. 3:

●  Loud noises were reported at 12:03 a.m. in the 1300 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued.

On Monday, Feb. 4:

●  A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 10:23 p.m. in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  A dog at large was reported at 1 p.m. in the 400 block of 15th Street. No owner was located. The dog was released to the Green County Humane Society.

●  A dog at large was reported at 2:01 p.m. in the 900 block of 1st Center Avenue. The owner was warned.

●  A Brodhead man, 23, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 10:26 p.m. in the 1800 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Tuesday, Feb. 5:

●  A vehicle parked facing traffic was reported at 1:35 a.m. in the 300 block of 23rd Street. A warning was issued.

●  A Janesville woman, 49, was cited for failure to stop for a school bus at 1:02 p.m. in the 1200 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 28, was arrested on a Wisconsin Department of Corrections warrant at 4:35 p.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street.

●  A Brodhead woman, 22, was cited for driving without a valid license at 7:50 p.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street.

On Wednesday, Feb. 6:

●  Harassment was reported at 12:49 p.m. in the 1500 block of West 4th Avenue.

●  Disorderly conduct was reported at 2:20 p.m. in the 1500 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A fraud complaint involving a person asking for money was reported at 3:38 p.m. in the 1300 block of 1st Center Avenue.

On Thursday, Feb. 7:

●  A vehicle running in the street was reported at 2:16 p.m. in the 500 block of East 4th Avenue. Police made contact with the driver, and the vehicle was removed.

●  Suspicious activity involving people standing in a yard was reported at 4:58 p.m. in the 900 block of West 2nd Avenue. No subjects were located upon police arrival.

●  A suspicious vehicle on private property was reported at 4:53 p.m. in the 400 block of 10th Street. Police issued a warning.

On Friday, Feb. 8:

●  A suspicious vehicle parked behind a building was reported at 2:06 a.m. in the 2200 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police located the vehicle. It belonged to an employee working after-hours.

●  A Davis, Illinois man, 20, was arrested on charges of possessing THC and drug paraphernalia at 10:28 a.m. in the 2200 block of East 9th Avenue.

On Saturday, Feb. 9:

●  Possibly intoxicated people were reported at 6:09 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police determined they were not intoxicated.


Monroe Police

MONROE — Lawrence B. Townsend, 38, Monroe, was arrested in the 800 block of 6th Street at 6:01 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, on an outstanding warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. He was jailed.

On Friday, Feb. 8:

● Desmond J. Wilhite, 19, of Monroe was arrested at 3:58 p.m. in the 1600 block of 13th Ave. for disorderly conduct as the result of a domestic disturbance. Wilhite was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

● Nicole R. Newton, 31, of Janesville was arrested at 9:25 p.m. in the 2500 block of 6th St. for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant. Newton was released to a responsible person pending a court date.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Saturday, Feb. 9:

●  Angel Castro Gonzalez, 26, Monroe, was arrested on a Green County warrant for failure to pay a fine after deputies stopped a vehicle for speeding at 4:16 a.m. in the N3900 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. He was also cited for speeding and driving without a valid license (third offense). He was jailed pending the posting of bond.

●  Kortney M. Lisser, 34, Albany, was arrested on felony charges of substantial battery, false imprisonment and bail jumping and a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct after deputies investigated a report of a domestic abuse disturbance at 6:07 a.m. in the 100 block of North East Street in Albany. Deputies and Albany police located Lisser later and took her into custody. She was jailed pending court.


Darlington Police 

DARLINGTON — On Wednesday, Feb. 6: 

Curtis A. Fussell, 19, of Darlington, was arrested at about 8:25 p.m., for theft, possession of stolen property and felony bail jumping.  Fussell was also cited for operating without a valid driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, and operating a motor vehicle without reasonably cleaned windows.  He remains in jail.

On Sunday, Feb. 10:

● Rodimiro Gutierrez-Santacruz, 28, of Darlington was arrested at 3:59 a.m. for criminal trespass to dwelling, disorderly conduct and bail jumping following an investigation at a residence on E. Cornelia Street. Gutierrez-Santacruz posted bond but remains jailed in Iowa County on a valid warrant.


Albany Police

ALBANY — On Friday, Feb. 8:

● A juvenile was cited for truancy.

● A juvenile was cited for habitual truancy.

● A juvenile was cited for truancy.

● A parent was cited for contributing to truancy.

On Saturday, Feb. 9: 

● Christopher J. Hillis, 30, Albany, was cited for non-registration of a vehicle.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Wednesday, Feb. 6:

●  An animal problem was reported at 12:49 a.m. on County F, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 8:08 a.m. on County K in Gratiot.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police at 8:47 a.m. on Center Hill Road in Darlington.

●  Clarence E. Johnson, 40, Deforest, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 10:01 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Gratiot.

●  Elsa J. Krajewski, 41, Roscoe, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 2:58 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot.

●  A parking complaint was reported at 4:39 p.m. on County Y, Town of Wiota.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 5:23 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne. As a result, Wesley T. Winn, 45, Hazel Green, was cited for passing in a no-passing zone.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 6:41 p.m. on Bennett Road, Town of New Diggings.

●  Amos J. Breen, 36, Belmont, was arrested for a probation violation after a deputy assisting Belmont police in responding to a disorderly conduct complaint at 8 p.m. on Dawn Vista Drive in Belmont. Breen was jailed.

Thursday, February 7, 2019

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 6:20 a.m. on East Truth Street in Shullsburg.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 8 a.m. on Lange Road, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy assisted a citizen at 9:20 a.m. on West Main Street in Benton.

●  A deputy assisted a citizen at 9:53 a.m. on County W, Town of Benton. Benton First Response and Shullsburg police assisted.

●  A deputy provided traffic control at 10 a.m. on County M, Town of Wiota.
