ALBANY — On Monday, Aug. 19:

●  James R. Schmitz, 49, Albany, was cited for retail theft.

On Tuesday, Aug. 20:

●  Joey P. Diaz Barnett, 22, Albany, was arrested on charges of bail jumping and possessing drug paraphernalia.

On Friday, Aug. 23:

●  Adam S. Mueller, 35, Verona, was cited for speeding.

On Saturday, Aug. 24:

●  Colton Lee Sonneman, 17, Horicon, was arrested following a traffic accident in the village on charges of operating while under the influence and carrying a concealed weapon and cited for underage drinking, inattentive driving and driving with a suspended license.

●  Five people were cited for outside consumption of alcoholic beverages: Erica J. Anderson, 35, Saint Peter, Minnesota; Michael A. Foster, 36, New Lenox, Illinois; Jennifer E. Lange, 26, Plainfield, Indiana; Matthew L. Shultz, 26, Janesville; and Jack J. Seljan, 23, Lake Mills.

●  Gilberto J. Martinez, 18, Beaver Dam, was cited for underage drinking.

●  Luis A. Martinez, 19, Beaver Dam, was cited for underage drinking.

On Sunday, Aug. 25:

●  Eowyn Brewer, 44, Albany, was cited for non-registration of other vehicle.


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of Aug. 18-24, police performed 60 security checks, 32 citizen assists, 10 assists of other agencies, eight vehicle registrations and eight follow-ups to incidents; responded to 21 calls for service, six EMS calls and 16 911 or BEEMS (Brodhead Elderly Emergency Monitoring System) calls; and made 11 traffic stops. No fire calls and no detox or mental health transports were reported. 

On Sunday, Aug. 18:

●  Damage to a door was reported at 2:55 a.m. in the 800 block of 23rd Street. The matter remained under investigation.

●  A dog at large was reported at 7:11 p.m. in the 1300 block of East 3rd Avenue. The owner was warned.

On Monday, Aug. 19:

●  A scam phone call was reported at 10:29 a.m. in the 800 block of Green Street.

●  Possible shoplifting was reported at 11:02 a.m. in the 2400 block of 1st Center Avenue. It was determined no theft occurred. No charges were filed.

●  A person causing a disturbance was reported at 2:37 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 2nd Avenue. The person was warned.

●  An Appleton woman, 38, was cited for speeding at 2:39 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

●  A Salem woman, 62, was cited for speeding at 3:19 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.

On Tuesday, Aug. 20:

●  A traffic crash involving a vehicle damaging a bicycle was reported at 4:28 p.m. in the 800 block of 19th Street. The matter remained under investigation.

●  A vehicle parked left of center facing traffic was reported at 3:39 a.m. in the 900 block of East 3rd Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  A barking dog was reported at 8:45 a.m. in the 1200 block of East 6th Avenue. The owner was warned for the barking and for not having the dog licensed.

●  A verbal altercation was reported at 4:25 p.m. in the 900 block of West Exchange Street. The matter was referred to the Green County District Attorney’s Office.

●  Damage to a bike was reported at 5:29 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police made contact, and the matter was resolved between the parties involved.

On Thursday, Aug. 22:

●  A Brodhead man, 27, was arrested on charges of domestic abuse-related battery and disorderly conduct at 2:01 p.m. in the 500 block of 7th Street.

●  A barking dog was reported at 8:49 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 4th Avenue. The owner was warned.

●  A domestic problem involving an argument was reported at 9:29 p.m. in the 800 block of East 2nd Avenue. Police made contact, and the matter was resolved.

On Friday, Aug. 23:

●  A possible drug violation was reported at 7:51 p.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. It remains under investigation.

On Saturday, Aug. 24:

●  A Monroe woman, 33, was cited for speeding and a seatbelt violation at 9:10 a.m. in the 100 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A Brodhead man, 20, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 10:30 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue.

●  A code violation of grass clippings in the roadway was reported at 10:35 a.m. in the 1400 block of East 6th Avenue. A warning was issued.

●  A Monroe man, 26, was cited for speeding at 12:02 p.m. in the 200 block of East 9th Avenue.

●  A Sinsinawa woman, 81, was cited for speeding at 4:21 p.m. in the 600 block of 1st Street.


Monroe Police

MONROE — On Wednesday, Aug. 28:

●  Rutilio Valdivia Viera, 27, Monroe, was arrested during a traffic stop at 6:07 a.m. at 23rd Avenue and 15th Street on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on a previous traffic offense. He was also cited for driving without a valid license and without vehicle insurance. He was booked and transported to the jail.

●  Officers located a man at 2 p.m. who matched the description given from a prior retail theft at Stop-N-Go, 1607 9th St. The man, identified as Charles R. Rodberg, 41, Rockford, Illinois, was arrested on two counts of retail theft and on a felony warrant issued by the Rockford Police Department. He was jailed pending court.

●  David J. Oliver III, 19, Monroe, was arrested at 8:49 p.m. on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court. He was jailed pending court.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Four people were arrested and jailed after deputies responded at 10:41 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, to the N9200 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus, for a reported battery. Daniela J. Roesslein, 19, and Jordyn L. Nelmark, 19, both of Monroe, were arrested on charges of criminal trespass to a dwelling, disorderly conduct and battery. Roesslein was also cited for underage drinking. Samantha J. Goodman, 19, Monroe, and Derek J. Rose, 26, Orangeville, were each arrested on a charge of criminal trespass to a dwelling. Goodman was also cited for underage drinking.

●  Ryan M. Flood, 42, Albany, was arrested on a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to check welfare at 6:39 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, in the W1900 block of Purintun Road, Town of Albany. He was jailed pending bond or court.

●  Eric T. Tessen Jr., 39, Albany, was arrested on domestic abuse-related charges of battery and disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a reported domestic disturbance at 1:09 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in the 100 block of North Jackson Street in Albany. He was jailed pending bond or court.

DARLINGTON — On Saturday, August 17, 2019

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 12:41 a.m. on North Van Buren Street in Benton. Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS assisted.

●  A deputy assisted Darlington police with an intoxicated male at 1:44 a.m. on Main Street.

●  Deputies responded to check welfare at 2:32 a.m. on County Y, Town of Wiota.

●  Robert W. Husted, 51, Blue Mounds, was cited for speeding at 9:32 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Theft was reported at 10:58 a.m. on South Galena Street in South Wayne.

●  Aaron T. Rowell, 26, Hanover, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 1:09 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

●  Lee M. Fitzsimons, 32, Darlington, was cited for failure to move over for a stopped emergency vehicle at 1:27 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Elk Grove.

●  Philip L. Casper, 64, Cuba City, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 3:14 p.m. on Calhoun Street in Cuba City.

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 3:22 p.m. on Lake Road, Town of Fayette.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 5:36 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. on County K, Town of Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:59 p.m. on West Grove Street in South Wayne.

●  A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with assisting a citizen at 1:19 a.m. on Wisconsin Street in Darlington.

●  Mallory K. Busch, 24, Hazel Green, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 9:16 a.m. on County W, Town of Benton.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 10:06 a.m. on County K, Town of Darlington; at 11:54 a.m. on County F, Town of Fayette; and at 5:52 p.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard.

●  Edwin Calvillo, 23, Chicago, was cited for speeding at 1:33 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

●  Kyle M. Baldeshwiler, 24, Chippewa Falls, was cited for speeding at 4:02 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

●  Brandon J. Lyne, 25, Benton, was arrested on charges of battery and disorderly conduct after a deputy responded to a complaint of disorderly conduct at 6:42 p.m. on 2nd Street in Benton. Lyne was transported to the jail and later released on a cash bond. Cuba City police assisted on scene.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 9:46 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

●  A man passed out on a porch in the 300 block of North Broad Street in Argyle was reported at 9:51 p.m. by a passerby who knew he didn’t live there. A deputy responded to check the man’s welfare. As a result, David R. Mangold, 51, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was arrested and jailed on a charge of disorderly conduct.

●  A deputy responded to assist a citizen at 10:01 p.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg.

On Monday, Aug. 19:

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:01 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:23 a.m. on Apple Grove Church Road, Town of Argyle.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 10:04 a.m. on Otter Creek Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 12:11 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

●  An animal problem was reported at 4:58 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 5:17 p.m. on Mau Road, Town of Wayne.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 5:56 p.m. on Garden Street, Town of New Diggings.

●  Criminal damage to property was reported at 11:40 a.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Abby M. Lacke, 26, Benton, was cited for driving without proof of vehicle insurance at 12:33 p.m. on County J, Town of Benton.

●  A civil dispute was reported at 1:36 p.m. on Garden Street, Town of New Diggings.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:52 p.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot.
