Monroe Police

MONROE — Dennis E. Beutel, 48, Monroe, was arrested on a charge of bail jumping after officers were asked to check on a man sleeping under a vehicle in the 1300 block of 17th Street at 2:53 a.m. Saturday, April 20. Officers determined Beutel had been consuming alcohol, in violation of bail conditions that he not drink. He was jailed pending court.

●  Samantha E. Stoneback, 27, Brodhead, was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence of intoxicants or drugs following a traffic stop in the W5200 block of Wis. 11 at 2:44 a.m. Sunday, April 21. She was also cited for speeding. She was released to a responsible person pending court. A passenger in Stoneback’s vehicle, Scarlet L. Swenson-Nowotny, 26, Barneveld, was arrested on charges of possessing THC and drug paraphernalia. She was released pending court.

●  Robert A. Fisher, 35, Monroe, was arrested on an outstanding Department of Corrections warrant at 4:42 p.m. Monday, April 22, in the 1100 block of 16th Street.


Darlington Police

DARLINGTON — On Sunday, April 21:

●  Jose A. Hernandez-Herna, 22, Darlington, was cited for loud and unnecessary noise, second offense within a year, following a noise complaint at about 4:40 a.m. on West Harriet Street.

●  Jerry W. Thornton, 49, Dodgeville, was cited for driving without a valid license, following an investigation into an incident that occurred at a local motel at 10:53 p.m. Monday, April 15.

●  William M. Breen, 34, Darlington, was arrested on a charge of misdemeanor bail jumping at 11:17 p.m., following contact near Sieg Field.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On Monday, April 22:

●  Deputies were requested to assist with apprehending a subject with an active Wisconsin Department of Corrections arrest warrant after the subject fled from police at 9:12 a.m. in Monticello. Monticello police observed Justin W. Wenger, 36, Monticello, in the 500 block of West Coates Avenue. Wenger fled the scene on foot, and police began searching the area with deputies and the Wisconsin State Patrol. At about 10 a.m., deputies observed Wenger in a wooded area in the W5200 block of Washington Road, Town of Washington, but Wenger again fled on foot, with deputies pursuing him. The foot pursuit ended with the successful arrest of Wenger on the warrant and on a charge of resisting arrest. He was jailed pending court.

●  Troy E. Gelhar, 20, Fond du Lac, was cited for driving a commercial vehicle without a license after deputies stopped a semi unit for operating left of center at 4:02 p.m. in the N2600 block of County OK, Town of Spring Grove. Gelhar was also warned for operating left of center.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Saturday, April 13:

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 7:42 p.m. on County XX, Town of Belmont.

On Sunday, April 14:

●  Calvin C. Stephens, 17, Cuba City, was cited for speeding at 8:22 a.m. on County H, Town of Benton.

●  Jeni L. Freiburger, 26, Mineral Point, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign at 9:55 a.m. on County H, Town of Benton.

●  A traffic complaint was reported at 12:36 p.m. on East Grove Street in South Wayne.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 3:36 p.m. on County D, Town of Lamont.

●  A deputy responded to check welfare at 4:50 p.m. on County D, Town of Wayne.

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:06 p.m. on County G, Town of Kendall.

●  Joshua J. Clifton, 30, Monroe, was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign and a license restriction violation at 9:56 p.m. on County F, Town of Seymour.

On Monday, April 15:

●  A domestic dispute was reported at 1:32 a.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.

●  A deputy responded to assist a person at 9:21 a.m. on Wildcat Road, Town of Darlington.

●  Theft was reported at 11:46 a.m. on Hill Street, Town of New Diggings.

●  Suspicious activity was reported at 2:59 p.m. on Bean Street, Town of New Diggings.

●  Justin L. Redfearn, 34, Hazel Green, was arrested on charges of child abuse, strangulation, criminal damage to property and a domestic abuse-related charge of disorderly conduct after deputies responded to a domestic dispute at 6:10 p.m. on Edison Road, Town of Benton. He was jailed.

●  Deputies responded to assist Darlington police with a welfare check at 10:53 p.m. on Galena Street in Darlington.

On Tuesday, April 16:

●  A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with a disorderly conduct complaint at 12:22 a.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

●  Theft was reported at 6:34 a.m. on Miner Way in Shullsburg.

●  Debris on the roadway was reported at 12:10 p.m. on Dry Bone Road, Town of Shullsburg.

●  A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with an animal bite at 4:26 p.m. on Main Street in Darlington.

●  A deputy responded to assist Darlington police with a harassment complaint at 4:38 p.m. on Kennedy Drive, Town of Darlington.

●  Ryan G. Rogers, 22, Darlington, was arrested after deputies responded at 6:07 p.m. on County Z to assist the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department. Rogers was transported to the Grant County Jail.

●  A deputy responded to unlock a vehicle at 6:08 p.m. on East Liberty Street in Belmont.
