On February 5:
● At 9:34 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at STH 69 and 17th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Garrison J. Lyman, 36, of Freeport, IL, was northbound on STH 69, attempted to turn right on to 17th Street and collided with a vehicle on 17th Street operated by a Monroe man. Lynam was cited for operating with a suspended registration and operating with no insurance and was released pending a court appearance.
● At 11:16 p.m., officers were called to a single vehicle versus sign pole accident, with no reported injuries, at 8th Street and 10th Avenue Court. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Zander R. Casper, 21, of Mount Calvary, was westbound in the 1000 block of 8th Street, lost control of the vehicle, drove over the curb and struck a pole. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the sign pole was also severely damaged, Casper was arrested on a charge of operating while intoxicated-2nd offense and also cited for operating too fast for conditions, failure to maintain control of a vehicle and possession of open intoxicants-driver. Casper was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On February 7:
At 5:01 a.m., officers responded with a business in the 1300 block of 2nd Street for a report of a person causing a disturbance at a business yelling profanities. The investigation led to the citing of Casey O. Ford,40, of Monroe, on a charge of disorderly conduct. Ford was released pending a court appearance.
On February 9:
● At 10:55 a.m., officers conducted a traffic offense stop in the 900 block of 10th Avenue. The stop led to the arrest of Paul B. Baker, 45, of Monroe, on an arrest warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff’s Office for child support. Baker was also cited for operating after revocation and operating without an ignition interlock device installed.
● At 1:57 p.m., officers were called to a shoplifting complaint at a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a person had failed to pay for all items at the self-checkout. Megan M. P. Kubly, 26, of Monroe, was cited for retail theft and then released pending a court appearance.
