On February 24:
● At 1:20 p.m., officers were called to a theft complaint at a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West. The investigation led to the arrest of Janie L. Neal, 35, of Monroe, for charges of theft and possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (THC, marijuana). Neal was issued citations and released pending a court appearance.
● At 6:58 p.m., officers conducted a traffic offense stop on a vehicle for a taillight violation in the 500 block of STH 69. The investigation led to the arrest of the operator, Aiden J. Roesslein, 23, of Freeport, IL, on an arrest warrant from the Green County Sheriff’s Office for failure to pay child support. Roesslein was also cited for operating with a suspended driver’s license, and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
On February 26:
● At 10:03 a.m., officers were called to a residence in the 500 block of West 21st Street for a domestic disturbance. As a result of the investigation, officers arrested Maynor J. Mejia Lemus, 28, of Monroe, on charges of strangulation, battery, false imprisonment, intimidation of a victim and two (2) counts of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Mejia Lemus was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
● At 11:33 a.m., officers arrest Dakota C. J. Lorenz, 31, of Monroe, at a residence in the 1000 block of 4th Avenue West, on an apprehension request from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Lorenz was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On February 27:
● At 9:45 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries, in the 2400 block of 5th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Kyla M. Rose, 19, of Monroe, was westbound on 5th Street when it collided with a legally parked and unoccupied vehicle belonging to a Brodhead man. Rose’s vehicle sustained functional damage while the other vehicle sustained disabling damages and was towed. Rose was cited for inattentive driving and released pending a court appearance.
● At 11:41 a.m., officers arrested Dugan D. Henson, 40, of Monroe, in the 300 block of North 29th Avenue on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff’s Office for a child support case. Henson was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. On February 27, 2025, at 3:12 PM, officers arrested Rebekah A. Bak, 29, of Monticello, in the 2800 block of 6th Street, on an apprehension request from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole, for a probation violation. Bak was confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.
On March 1:
● At 9:06 a.m., officers were called to a complaint about an individual violating bail conditions at a business in the 2900 block of 13th Street. An investigation led to the arrest of Curtis E. Paffel, 70, of Monroe, on a charge of bail jumping due to a violation of bail conditions from a prior case which prohibited contact with a prior victim. Paffel was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.
