On January 19:

● At 2:22 p.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at the intersection of 17th Street and 14th Avenue. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Donna M. Gilbertson, 81, of Monroe, was traveling east on 17th Street, stopped at the stop sign for 14th Avenue, proceeded into the intersection and collided with a northbound vehicle operated by a Browntown woman. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed. Gilbertson was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending a court appearance.

On January 22:

● At 3:39 p.m., officers were called to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the 900 block of 8th Street. The investigation resulted in the arrest of Kelsey L. Henning, 34, of New Glarus, on charges of disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws. Henning was booked and released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance.

On February 15:

● At 3:17 a.m., officers arrested Caleb M. Lincicum, 22, of Madison, in the 700 block of 8th Street, following a call of an operator of a motor vehicle reportedly sleeping while behind the wheel of a vehicle stopped in traffic at the intersection of STH 69 and 8th Street. Lincicum was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration and operating with a suspended registration. Lincicum was booked and released to a responsible adult pending a court appearance.

● At 2:31 p.m., officers arrested Gerald D. Erickson, 68, of Monroe, in the 1700 block of 11th Street, following an investigation into a shoplifting complaint at a business in the 300 block of 6th Avenue West on February 12, 2026. Erickson was charged with retail theft, booked and released pending a court appearance.

On February 19:

● At 7:19 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries at STH 69 and 8th Street. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Andrew D. Jones, 22, of Monroe, was traveling north on STH 69, attempted to make a left turn on to 8th Street and collided with a vehicle which was southbound on STH 69, operated by a 38-year-old Monroe woman. Both vehicles sustained severe damages and were towed. Jones was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a left turn and was released pending a court appearance.

On February 23:

● At 1:49 p.m., officers were called to a four-vehicle accident with reported minor injuries, in the 1700 block of STH 69. The investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Timothy J. Oxley, 65, of Lena, IL, was traveling north on STH 69 and rear-ended another northbound vehicle operated by a 33-year-old Freeport, woman, which rear-ended a third northbound vehicle operated by a 20-year-old Freeport, IL man, which then rear-ended a fourth northbound vehicle operated by a 69-year-old Mt. Carroll, IL woman which had stopped for a disabled vehicle. The Mt. Carroll woman and her 71-year-old male passenger reported minor non-life-threatening injuries but declined medical attention. All vehicles sustained functional damages. Oxley was cited for following too closely and was released pending a court appearance.

On February 27:

● At 4:37 a.m., officers arrested William R. Ellison, 33, of Monroe, in a parking lot in the 800 block of 16th Avenue on a warrant issued by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole. Ellison was located with a second person, identified as Jamie L. Churchill, 46, of Shullsburg, who was also wanted on warrants from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections-Probation & Parole, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office and Middleton Police Department. Based on the local stop, Ellison was further charged with misdemeanor possession of tetrahydrocannabinols (Delta 9 marijuana) and two (2) counts of possession of misdemeanor drug paraphernalia, and Churchill was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia and two (2) counts of possession of misdemeanor drug paraphernalia. Both Ellison and Churchill were confined in the Green County Jail pending further proceedings.

● At 3:31 p.m., officers arrested Stephan P. Shambrook, 32, of Monroe, after officers were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 200 block of 4th Avenue. Shambrook was charged with disorderly conduct and criminal trespass to a dwelling, and was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On March 1:

● At 10:09 a.m., officers were called to a two-vehicle accident with no reported injuries in the 1500 block of 19th Street. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Madalyn M. Allen, 23, of Monroe, was traveling west on 19th Street and collided with a legally parked unoccupied vehicle. Allen’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed, while the other vehicle sustained functional damage. Allen was cited for inattentive driving and released pending a court appearance.

On March 9:

● At 8:11 p.m., officers arrested Merwin Eriel Rivera Benevides, 34, of Monroe, following a traffic offense stop in the 800 block of 4th Avenue West. The investigation led to Rivera Benevides being charged with one (1) count of felony bail jumping due to a violation of court ordered bail conditions and being cited for operating without a valid driver’s license-2nd offense. Rivera Benevides was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On March 11:

● At 3:06 p.m., officers were called to a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 800 block of 15th Avenue. An investigation resulted in the arrest of Victoria M. Bauer, 27, of Mokena, IL, on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and battery to a law enforcement officer. Bauer was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance.

On March 14:

● 3:55 p.m. Michael A. Makinen-Jacobson, 22, Monroe reported striking a deer on STH 81, Darlington Township. Makinen-Jacobson reported no injuries. Makinen-Jacobson’s 2022 Toyota received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

On March 17:

● At 8:54 a.m., officers arrested Kelli A. Klemm, 50, of Monroe, at a residence in the 2700 block of 8 1/2 Street. Klemm was charged with disorderly conduct under Wisconsin’s Domestic Violence laws and was booked and released after posting cash bail pending a court appearance.

● At 5:03 p.m., officers were called to the 1800 block of 6th Street for a reported hit and run motor vehicle accident with no injuries. An investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Lisa J. Lorenzi, 66, of Monroe, was involved in a backing maneuver and struck a parked unoccupied vehicle, then left the scene. Both vehicles sustained functional damages and were driven from the scene. Lorenzi was cited for hit and run to an unattended vehicle and failure to notify police of an accident and released pending a court appearance.
