On September 4:
● 10:30 a.m. A deputy responded to W Liberty ST, Village of Belmont for criminal damage.
● 4:33 p.m. Deputies responded to S Judgement ST, City of Shullsburg for a disorderly dispute.
On September 5:
● 2:27 a.m. A deputy responded to Carr Factory RD, Benton Township for a civil dispute. As a result, Christopher W Denning, 34, Benton was arrested for a Probation Violation. Denning was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released.
● 10:38 a.m. Chasity J Willis, 49, Lone Rock reported striking a deer on CTH N, Blanchard Township. No injuries were reported. Willis’s 2017 Jeep received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 2:48 p.m. Deputies responded to Center DR, City of Darlington for bail jumping.
● 9:00 p.m. A deputy responded to N Main LN, Darlington Township for suspicious circumstances.
On September 6:
● 8:24 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH K, Gratiot Township for a burglary.
● 11:10 a.m. A deputy responded to Gobrecht LN, Belmont Township for trespassing. Belmont Police assisted.
● 11:38 a.m. A deputy responded to S Galena ST in the Village of South Wayne for threats.
● 4:24 p.m. A deputy responded to Faymont RD, Fayette Township for keep the peace.
● 7:50 p.m. Jhorshy B Azurdia-Santos, 19, Shullsburg was arrested on a valid Lafayette County warrant and brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains in custody.
● 7:51 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a two-vehicle accident. Emma M Mason, 18, Mineral Point was traveling southbound in a 2015 Dodge when she struck the rear of a 2017 Jeep, being driven by Lexi A Lichty, 21, Monroe Center, IL. Mason then crossed into the median and rolled multiple times. Mason was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and Lichty denied EMS. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Mason was cited for Inattentive Driving and Failure to Maintain Control of Vehicle. Belmont Fire and EMS assisted on scene.
On September 7:
● 11:15 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Wiota Township for a one-vehicle accident. Terry J Rasmussen, 73, Darlington was traveling southbound on STH 78, when he lost control of his vehicle due to inattentive driving. Rasmussen left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck a fence. Rasmussen was uninjured and his 2015 Chrysler received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
● 11:36 a.m. Deputies responded to S Wyota ST in the Village of South Wayne for a domestic dispute.
● 3:33 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH Z, Darlington Township for a civil dispute.
On September 8:
● 4:50 a.m. Katie I Berg, 28, Shullsburg reported striking raccoons on STH 11, Shullsburg Township. No injuries were reported and the 2016 Hyundai was driven from the scene with moderate damage.
● 7:03 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Elk-Grove Township for a one vehicle accident. Jose I Aranda-Castaneda, 20, Platteville was traveling westbound on STH 81 when he lost control, went into the ditch and struck a power pole. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene with disabling damage. Aranda-Castaneda was cited for Hit and Run, Operate without a Driver’s License, and Fail to Notify Police of an Accident. Belmont Fire and EMS and Darlington Police assisted.
● 10:07 a.m. A deputy responded to Carr Factory RD, Benton Township for trespassing.
● 9:37 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH W, Benton Township for a one-vehicle accident. Aleida J Castaneda-Soto, 26, Aurora, IL was traveling eastbound on CTH W in a 2007 Pontiac when she failed to negotiate a curve and entered the ditch. Castaneda-Soto and her passengers, Jessy J Caslaneda, 20 and Eliseo Temoxtle Tequihuactle, 29, both of Aurora, IL were uninjured and the vehicle was towed from the scene with minor damage. Castaneda-Soto was cited for Operate without a Driver’s License and Failure to Maintain Control.
● 9:50 p.m. A deputy responded to Carlyle DR in the Village of Belmont for criminal damage.
On September 9:
● 6:54 a.m. Deputies, Darlington Fire, and Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH F, Fayette Township for a one-vehicle accident.
● 6:01 p.m. Gratiot Fire responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for a truck fire. A deputy assisted.
● 6:33 p.m. Luis E Alarcon-Garcia, 26, Darlington was arrested for Operating without a valid Driver’s License, 2nd Offense and Resisting and brought to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later posted bond.
On September 10:
● 1:37 a.m. Deputies responded to Larson RD, Wiota Township for a domestic dispute. Julie M. Swedlund, 42, South Wayne was arrested for Aggravated Battery – Causing Great Bodily Harm. Swedlund was transported to Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and remains.
● 12:05 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Darlington Township for a missing person.
● 7:35 p.m. Kevin J. Duerr, 55, Scales Mound reported striking a deer on CTH O, White Oak Springs Township. Duerr reported no injuries. Duerr’s 2008 Subaru received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● 8:46 p.m. Tara R. Amorose, 27, Argyle was traveling on Park AV and turning onto N Broad ST, Village of Argyle when she was struck by a vehicle, operated by Rhonda K. Pehl, 57, Argyle, traveling on N Broad ST turning onto Park AV. No injuries were reported. Amorose’s 2012 Chevrolet received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Whereas, Pehl’s 2017 Toyota received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
