On February 9:
● 3:22 a.m. Gratiot Fire, Gratiot First Response, Green County EMS and deputies responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for a one vehicle accident. Dillin J. Thompson, 32, Darlington was traveling on STH 11 when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck a rock wall. Thompson was transported to the hospital for nonlife threatening injuries. Thompson’s 2005 Chrysler received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Thompson was cited for Failure to Maintain Control and Operating While Intoxicated (OWI - 2nd Offense).
● 7:19 a.m. Michael E. Lennon, 35, Asbury reported striking a deer on STH 11, New Diggings Township. Lennon and his juvenile passenger reported no injuries. Lennon’s vehicle received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Benton Fire, Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS assisted.
● 6:15 p.m. Rebecca A. Thompson, 70, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 81, Lamont Township. Thompson reported no injuries. Thompson’s 2014 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 6:30 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Argyle Township for livestock in the roadway. While responding, Robert L. Mick, 73, Darlington reported he struck one of the cows. Mick and his passenger, Linda L. Mick, 73, Darlington reported no injuries. Mick’s 2016 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● 6:50 p.m. Amy J Arthur, 50, Mineral Point reported striking a deer on CTH G, Argyle Township. No injuries were reported. Arthur’s 2008 GMC received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
On February 13:
● 7:58 a.m. Lauren G. Helms, 20, Platteville was traveling on USH 151 Belmont Township when she lost control of her vehicle, left the roadway, entered the ditch and struck a tree. Helms reported no injuries. Helms’ 2017 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● 9:55 a.m. A deputy, Shullsburg Fire, and Shullsburg EMS responded to a one vehicle accident on STH 11, Shullsburg Township. Logan W. Grunenwald, 16, Benton was traveling on STH 11 when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, entered the ditch, and struck a guardrail causing the vehicle to roll. Grunenwald was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Grunenwald’s 2016 Kia sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Shullsburg Police assisted.
● 10:41 a.m. A deputy, Benton Fire, Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to S Galena RD, Benton Township for a one vehicle accident. Kaden B. Austin, 16, Cuba City was traveling on South Galena RD when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and struck a power pole. Austin reported no injuries. Austin’s 2002 Ford received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Alliant Energy
● 6:18 p.m. Brad A. Crist, 48, Darlington reported striking a deer on Ferndale RD, Willow Springs Township. Crist reported no injuries. Crist’s 2021 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 6:40 p.m. Thomas M. Behrens, 68, Franksville reported striking a deer on STH 11, Gratiot Township. Behrens reported no injuries. Behrens’ 2023 Chevrolet received functional damage and was driven from the scene.
● 8:46 p.m. A deputy responded to School ST, Village of Gratiot for a two vehicle accident. Mikayla L. Sigafus, 29, Gratiot was traveling on School ST when she struck an unoccupied parked vehicle. Sigafus reported no injuries. Both Sigafus’s 2015 Jeep and the 2016 Honda received functional damage.

● 6:10 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Wiota Township for a one vehicle accident. Pearl V. Wurtzbacher, 20, Gratiot lost control of her vehicle and struck a pole. No injuries were reported. Wurtzbacher’s 2016 Honda received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● 6:10 a.m. Tammy J. Baldauf, 59, Winslow, IL reported striking a deer on STH 11, Wayne Township. No injuries were reported. Baldauf’s 2015 GMC received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
● 9:24 a.m. Deputies responded to STH 11, Wayne Township for a report of a burglary. As a result, Makayla L. Ball, 23, South Wayne was arrested for Criminal Trespass to Dwelling, Probation Violation, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Meth Paraphernalia, Possession of THC, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Ball was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and currently remains.
● 2:34 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 23, Darlington Township for a two-vehicle accident. Michael B. Dischler, 58, Janesville was driving his 2016 Kenworth when he struck a parked 2013 Toyota. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles received moderate damage and were driven from the scene. Darlington Police assisted
● 4:52 p.m. A deputy responded to Furnace Hill RD, Willow Springs Township for a two-vehicle accident. Braeden L. Gallagher, 16, Mineral Point struck an unknown on-coming vehicle in his 2007 Buick. No injuries were reported. Gallagher’s Buick received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Lafayette County EMS, Darlington Fire, and Darlington Police assisted on scene.
● 5:11 p.m. A deputy responded to USH 151, Belmont Township for a one vehicle accident. Merton J. Wall, 69, Monona lost control of his vehicle and struck a rock wall. No injuries were reported. Wall’s 2024 Subaru received disabling damage and was later towed from the scene. Southwest Health EMS and Platteville Fire assisted on scene
On February 15:
● 12:43 a.m. Leonardo Pineda-Rodriguez, 31, Platteville was arrested on Bridge ST, Village of Gratiot for Operating without Valid License (2nd within 3 yrs) and Bail Jumping. Pineda-Rodriguez was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later posted bond.
● 6:59 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, Monticello Township for a one vehicle accident. David L. Sierens, 38, Sherrard, IL lost control of his vehicle, entered the ditch, and struck a road sign. No injuries were reported. Sierens’ 2022 Ram received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
On February 16:
● 3:05 p.m. Deputies responded to STH 78, Gratiot Township for a domestic dispute. As a result, April P. Dicks, 42, Gratiot was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct. Dicks was transported to Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and later posted bond.
● 5:32 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH M, Wiota Township for a snowmobile accident. Justin L. Myers, 36, Cross Plains lost control of his snowmobile and left the trail which caused the snowmobile to roll over. Myers was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Woodford First and Argyle EMS assisted on scene. Myers was cited for Operating Snowmobile in Careless Manner and Operating Snowmobile without Safety Certificate
● 5:46 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Darlington Township for a one vehicle accident. Makaylee R. Blum, 20, Brodhead lost control of her vehicle, entered the ditch, and struck a pole. No injuries were reported. Blum’s 2011 Toyota received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
On February 17:
● 7:20 a.m. Deputies responded to STH 11, Gratiot Township for a two vehicle accident with injuries. Ross M. Krogman, 39, Winslow was traveling eastbound on STH 11, in his 2023 International semi, when he struck a 2012 Chrysler, operated by Savanna R. Wood-Kendrick, 20, Rock Falls, IL when she failed to yield right of way at a stop sign. Krogman reported no injuries. Wood-Kendrick was airlifted to UW-Hospital for injuries that were sustained in the crash. Both Krogman’s 2023 International and Wood-Kendrick’s 2012 Chrysler received disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Gratiot Fire, Gratiot First Response, Green County EMS, Lafayette County EMS, UW Med Flight, and Wisconsin State Patrol assisted.
