On June 23:

● 1:03 p.m. Vincent S Cerniuk, 45, Mokena, IL was traveling on his 2016 Victory motorcycle on CT=H I, New Diggings Township when he wrecked. Cerniuk was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash. Cerniuk’s 2016 Victory was towed from the scene. Benton Fire, Benton First Response, Hazel Green EMS and a deputy assisted. 

● 5:04 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH K, Gratiot Township for a domestic dispute. As a result, David W. Wright, 62, Gratiot was arrested for Domestic Battery and Disorderly Conduct. Wright was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains. 

● 6:18 p.m. Deputies assisted Darlington Police on Main ST with a domestic dispute. 

On June 24:

● 8:35 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH DD, Wayne Township for a one vehicle accident.

● 11:28 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH XX, Belmont Township for trespassing.

● 1:16 p.m.  A deputy responded to Mink Farm RD, Wayne Township for theft.

On June 26:

● 11:07 a.m. David W. Cassidy, 76, New Glarus was pulling out of a parking stall in his 2010 Jeep when he struck a 2020 Jeep operated by Daniel V. Larson, 59, Argyle. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles received functional damage and were driven from the scene.  

● 9:17 p.m. Stephanie L. Holmes, 38, Argyle reported striking a deer on CTH G, Argyle Township. Holmes reported no injuries. Holmes’ 2019 GMC received functional damage and was driven from the scene.

 On June 27:

● 1:20 a.m. Victor M. Porras-Alamillo, 27, Shullsburg was arrested on STH 81, Elk Grove Township for Operating without a Valid License (OWL - 3rd+ within 3 years). Porras-Alamillo was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later released after posting bond. Porras-Alamillo was also cited for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI - 1st Offense), Speeding and No Insurance.

● 5:12 a.m. Bryce X. Dyer, 23, Janesville was travelling on STH 11, Gratiot Township when he fell asleep and failed to negotiate a curve. Dyer reported no injuries. Dyer’s 2023 Nissan received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Gratiot First, Gratiot Fire, Green County EMS and a deputy assisted.  

● 10:22 a.m. A deputy responded to Jenkynsville RD, Benton Township for fraud.

● 9:27 p.m. Kimberlee A. Jacobsen, 67, Shullsburg reported striking a deer on STH 11, New Diggings Township. Jacobsen reported no injuries. Jacobsen’s 2018 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene. 

On June 28:

● 10:06 a.m. A deputy responded to Buncombe RD, Benton Township for suspicious activity. 

● 1:24 p.m. Travis J. Cross, 49, Iberia MO was travelling on USH 151, Kendall Township when he failed to yield to a motorist and struck the vehicle on the shoulder. Three passengers were transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. Cross was cited for Inattentive Driving. Belmont EMS, Belmont Fire, Southwest Health EMS, Mineral Point Fire, and deputies assisted. 

● 5:34 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Willow Springs Township for harassment. 

● 9:58 p.m. A deputy responded to E South ST, Village of South Wayne for criminal damage. 

● 11:10 p.m. Deputies responded to W Grove ST, Village of South Wayne for a disorderly dispute. 

On June 29:

● 10:12 a.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to CTH Z, Willow Springs Township for a motorcycle accident. Patrick W Huehne, 24, Belmont lost control of his motorcycle. Minor injuries were reported with no transport to the hospital. Huehne’s 2002 Honda received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 4:16 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Gratiot Township to keep the peace. 

● 5:27 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH F, Darlington Township for criminal damage. 

On June 30:

● 4:52 a.m. Deputies assisted Darlington Police on E Louisa ST with a domestic dispute. 

● 9:41 a.m. Deputies responded to CTH A, Shullsburg Township for fraud. As a result, Lamaya L. Davis, 28, Chicago and Joshua J. Harris-Hartley, 32, Hammond IN were arrested for Identity Theft. Both Davis and Harris-Hartley were transported to Lafayette County Jail where they were booked and remain. 

● 1:26 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Argyle Township for harassment. 

● 7:35 p.m. Nexer N. Morazan-Lopez, 19, Darlington was travelling on CTH F, Darlington Township when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, entered the ditch causing his vehicle to roll. Morazan-Lopez reported no injuries. Morazan-Lopez’s 2018 Jeep received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Morazan-Lopez was cited for Failure to Maintain Control, Failure to Report an Accident, and Operating after Suspension. 

● 9:49 p.m. A deputy responded to N Green ST, Village of Argyle for fireworks.

On July 1:

● 9:05 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH G, Argyle Township for suspicious activity. 

● 10:22 p.m. Darlington Fire responded to STH 23, City of Darlington for a fuel spill. Darlington Police assisted. 

● 10:28 p.m. Maycol M. Rodriguez, 17, Darlington was arrested on Wells ST, City of Darlington for Obstruction, Operating without a Valid License (2nd within 3 years) and a valid warrant out of Iowa County. Rodriguez was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and then released to Iowa County Sheriff’s Office. 

On July 2:

● 4:27 p.m. Kristine M. Mitchell, 55, Cary IL was travelling on STH 78, Argyle Township when she struck a truck stopped in the intersection while turning, causing Mitchell to leave the roadway and enter the ditch, where she came to a rest. Mitchell, her passenger, Karlie M. Mitchell, 20, Cary IL, and Tommy J. Heath, 43, Argyle (operator of the truck) reported no injuries. Mitchell’s 2003 Mercedes received disabling damage and was towed from the scene, whereas Heath’s 2021 Ford received functional damage and was driven from the scene. Mitchell was cited for Suspended Registration and Heath was cited for Improper Stop.

On July 3:

● 4:07 p.m. Deputies responded to CTH K, Darlington Township for theft.

On July 4:

● 2:28 a.m. Deputies responded to E Truth ST in the City of Shullsburg for threats. Conner J Pahnke, 29, Shullsburg was arrested for Domestic Disorderly Conduct and Intoxicated use of a Firearm. Pahnke was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and posted bond.

● 8:27 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH K, Gratiot Township for a civil dispute.

● 7:32 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Lamont Township for a vehicle in the ditch. Cody R Crompton, 24, Darlington was cited for Failure to Maintain Control.

● 8:49 p.m. A deputy responded to N Main LN, Darlington Township for keep the peace.

● 11:14 p.m. Belmont Fire and EMS responded to STH 81, Elk Grove Township for a one vehicle rollover. Carlos M Bonilla-Bonilla, 24, Roxboro, NC was traveling eastbound on STH 81 in a 2013 Chevrolet when he started hydroplaning and went into the ditch and overturned, coming to rest on its top. Bonilla-Bonilla and his passenger, Alba P Mejia, 33, Roxboro, NC reported no injuries and denied EMS. The vehicle was totaled and towed from the scene. Bonilla-Bonilla was cited for No Insurance, Operate without a Driver’s License, and Failure to Maintain Control.

On July 5:

● 5:10 a.m. Rose M Leu, 63, Darlington reported striking a deer on STH 23, Willow Springs Township. No injuries were reported. Leu’s 2023 Ford received minor damage and was driven from the scene.

● 10:08 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Lamont Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 12:06 p.m. Argyle Fire and Argyle EMS responded to Spore RD, Argyle Township for a one vehicle accident. After arriving on scene, there was motor vehicle problems, and there was no reportable accident. A deputy assisted on scene.

● 12:31 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 78, Gratiot Township for a one vehicle accident. The driver fled the scene. The 2008 Chevrolet was towed from the scene.

● 2:42 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, White Oak Springs Township for an abandoned vehicle. 

● 5:12 p.m. Darlington Fire and Lafayette County EMS responded to STH 81, City of Darlington for a two vehicle accident. Juan A Bravo-Gaitan, 21, driving his 2011 Ford, attempted to turn and struck Tammy M Wedig, 56, Mount Horeb, driving her 2023 Chevrolet. One passenger reported injuries and was transported to the hospital. As a result, Bravo-Gaitan was cited for Operating without License and Operating without Insurance. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Darlington Police and a deputy assisted on scene.

● 5:21 p.m. A deputy responded to S Main ST, Village of Blanchardville for illegal dumping.

● 8:53 p.m. Deputies responded to E Pleasant ST, Village of South Wayne for a disorderly dispute.

● 10:08 p.m. Wiota Fire responded to Pecatonica RD, Wiota Township for a vehicle on fire. A deputy assisted on scene.

On July 6:

● 4:14 a.m. Deputies responded to CTH W, New Diggings Township for a vehicle in the ditch. As a result, Benjamin J. Davis, 24, Scales Mound was arrested for Operating while Intoxicated (OWI – 1st Offense). Davis was transported to Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office where he was released to a responsible party. Lafayette County EMS assisted. 

● 8:29 a.m. Kathryn L. Dalsing, 60, Dodgeville reported striking a deer on USH 151, Belmont Township. Dalsing received moderate injuries and was transported to the hospital. Dalsing’s 2018 Cadillac received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Belmont Fire and Belmont EMS assisted. 

● 9:06 a.m. Deputies responded to Wright RD, Shullsburg Township to keep the peace.

On July 7:

● 9:34 a.m. Deputies responded to CTH G, Willow Springs Township for a one vehicle crash. The driver failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, struck a fence and came to a stop in a field. The driver fled the scene. The 2006 Toyota received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. 

On July 8:

● 12:18 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH W, Monticello Township for suspicious activity.
