On October 17:
● At 12:59 p.m., Deputies, along with Albany EMS, Albany First Response, Evansville EMS, Brooklyn EMS, and Albany Police Department, responded to the intersection of Brooklyn Albany Rd. & CTH E, in the Town of Albany, for a two-vehicle crash with injury. The investigation found that Bryna D. Caves, 39, of Albany, began traveling east from the stop sign at the intersection on Brooklyn Albany Rd., failing to yield the right of way to a northbound vehicle on CTH E driven by Nicole M. Baebler. Baebler then struck Caves’ vehicle on the passenger side. Baebler advised she was wearing her seatbelt and was later transported to the hospital for further medical examination. Baebler’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Caves advised she was wearing her seatbelt and was not injured. Caves’ vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Caves was later cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way from a Stop Sign Causing Injury and cited three times for Violation of Child Safety Restraint. Caves was released pending court.
● At 2:09 PM, Deputies responded to the 2800 block of 6th St. (Probation & Parole), in the City of Monroe, where Paul M. Elsner, 64, of New Glarus, was taken into custody for a Probation Hold. Elsner was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
On October 18:
● At 12:09 a.m., Deputies responded to the W6000 block of Buehler Rd., in the Town of Monroe, for a reported suspicious activity. The investigation resulted in Jay D. Albrecht, 49, of Monroe, being placed under arrest for Trespass to Land and Criminal Damage to Property. Albrecht was later released pending court.
On October 19:
● At 5:32 a.m., Deputies responded to the N7100 block of STH 69, Town of Washington, for a report of a two vehicle accident. Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Brian L Sherman, 49, of Monticello, was northbound on STH 69, preparing to turn right into a driveway when another northbound vehicle, operated by Codie DW Mau, 28, of Monroe failed to brake and struck Sherman’s vehicle. Both Mau and Sherman denied injury, both reported wearing their seatbelts, and there was no airbag deployment in either vehicle. Sherman’s vehicle was driven from the scene. Mau’s vehicle was towed from the scene. Mau was cited for Following Too Close and warned for non-registration of an auto, etc. Mau was released with a court date.
● At 12:03 p.m. a deputy was operating westbound in the W3500 block of STH 11, Town of Sylvester, and approaching the four lane split, when a gray colored truck passed the squad and several other vehicles in a no passing zone. The vehicle had to cut into the westbound lanes to prevent a head on collision with an eastbound vehicle. The driver, Kenneth Koester, 65, Freeport, IL. was cited for passing in no passing zone and unsafe cutting in while passing. He was released with a court date.
● At 4:19 p.m., Deputies responded to the area of STH 11 and Balls Mill Road, in the Town of Sylvester, for a traffic complaint. Deputies located the vehicle in question and was stopped for a speeding violation. Investigation resulted in the operator, Roger D. Kieler, 43, Monroe, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence - Alcohol - 3rd offense. Kieler was further cited for speeding and Possessing Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle. A passenger, Sarah B. Keffer, of Monroe, was cited for Possessing Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle as a Passenger. Keffer was released pending a court appearance. Kieler was jailed at the Green County Jail pending the posting of bond or an initial court appearance.
● At 9:27 p.m. Deputies responded to the N3700 block of STH 69 for a report of a two vehicle crash with no injuries. Deputies determined that Kelli Rufer, (56, Monroe, was northbound, stopped in traffic to turn left into a driveway. Rufer reported having her turn signal on. A second northbound vehicle, operated by Jaxon Roquez Teronero, 22, Monroe did not stop in time and attempted to go around Rufer’s vehicle while she was turning left, which caused a collision. Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured. There was no airbag deployment. Rufer’s vehicle sustained disabling driver’s side damage and was towed from the scene. Roquez Teronero’s vehicle sustained disabling front passenger side damage and was also towed from the scene. Roquez Teronero was cited for no valid driver’s license, and no motor vehicle insurance. He was released with a court date.
On October 20:
● At 10:11 p.m. Deputies responded to the N2400 block of CTH T in the Town of Spring Grove for a report of a disorderly conduct complaint. The investigation resulted in Nicholas Johnson, 31 of Freeport IL, being cited for Disorderly Conduct. Nicholas was released with a court date. Brodhead PD assisted at the scene.
On October 21:
● At 1:20 a.m., Deputies responded to the W900 block of Pedee Rd., in the Town of Spring Grove, for a reported domestic disturbance. The investigation resulted in Brent M. Alderman, 41, being placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct, Substantial Battery, and Battery to Elderly (Domestic Abuse related). Alderman was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
