Monroe Police


MONROE — Green County EMS and police were dispatched at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, for a report of a hazard in the 1300 block of 14th Avenue. A 35-year-old Winnebago, Illinois man had stepped out of a vehicle onto the grassy terrace between the curb and sidewalk and fallen about two feet into a sinkhole. The sinkhole was about two feet wide and located behind a storm sewer. It was likely caused by rainwater that washed away soil beneath the sod. The man declined EMS treatment or transport.

●  Argyle EMS responded at 4:45 p.m. to Wis. 78 in Argyle.


●  Argyle EMS responded at 7:52 p.m. to Galena Street in Argyle. A deputy assisted on scene.


On Monday, Sept. 16:


●  Argyle EMS responded at 1:05 a.m. to Third Street in Argyle. 


On Tuesday, Sept. 17:


●  Green County EMS of Darlington responded at 12:47 a.m. to Ohio Street in Darlington. Darlington police assisted.
