Monroe Fire
MONROE — An air fryer that started on fire was reported at a residence in the 600 block of 16th Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4. The fire was out by the time firefighters arrived because a police officer who arrived on scene first was able to use an extinguisher to get it out. The fire was accidental and started when the air fryer was set on top of a stovetop electrical burner. Damage was limited to the air fryer, the stovetop and a microwave above it. No injuries were reported.
● An industrial kiln on fire was reported at Bob Evans Firewood on Wis. 69 just south of Advance Road, Town of Clarno, at about 7 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7. The fire was caused by an equipment malfunction. Firefighters remained on scene about three hours to control the fire and remove racks of wood from the kiln. Damage was limited to the kiln and estimated at $50,000. No one was hurt.

● Green County EMS of Darlington responded at 12:09 p.m. to Fayette Road in Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.
● Shullsburg EMS responded at 7:36 p.m. to East Water Street in Shullsburg. Shullsburg police assisted on scene.
On Friday, Nov.1:
● Gratiot First Response and Green County EMS of Darlington responded at 3:14 a.m. to Village Road, Town of Gratiot, for a person with stroke symptoms. A deputy assisted on scene with lifting.
● Belmont EMS responded at 12:38 p.m. to Hazel Street in Belmont.
● Green County EMS of Darlington responded at 4:13 p.m. to Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.
On Saturday, Nov. 2:
● Gratiot First Response responded at 9:18 a.m. to Dublin Road, Town of Gratiot. Deputies assisted on scene.
● Shullsburg EMS responded at 8:25 p.m. to Winskell Street in Shullsburg. A deputy assisted on scene.
On Sunday, Nov. 3:
● A residential fire alarm was reported at 5:28 p.m. on Dobbs Road, Town of Darlington. The Darlington Fire Department and Green County EMS of Darlington responded. A deputy assisted on scene. It was a false alarm. There was no fire.
On Monday, Nov. 4:
● Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded at 10:52 a.m. to West Main Street in Benton.

● A possible fire was reported at 9:08 a.m. on County P, Town of Shullsburg. The Shullsburg Fire Department responded. Shullsburg police and the Wisconsin State Patrol assisted.
