Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Juda First Response and Green County EMS were dispatched at 1:27 p.m. Friday, April 5, in response to a 911 call from Oakley Road south of Shanghai Road, Town of Spring Grove. A man burning grass as part of a controlled burn had collapsed into a knee-deep creek and wasn’t breathing. He was transported to Monroe Clinic for treatment.

On Friday, April 5:

●  Gratiot First Response and Green County EMS responded at 3:05 a.m. to Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. A deputy assisted on scene.

●  Green County EMS of Darlington responded at 8:59 p.m. to East Catherine Street in Darlington. Darlington police assisted on scene.

On Saturday, April 6:

●  The Benton Fire Department responded to a carbon monoxide alarm at 4:11 a.m. on Railroad Avenue in Benton.

●  South Wayne First Response and Green County EMS responded at 9:47 a.m. to West Pleasant Street in South Wayne. A deputy assisted on scene.

●  Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded at 12:05 p.m. on County I, Town of Benton.
