MONROE — Police arrested a local man on his 4th Operating While Under the Influence Charge following a traffic stop last Tuesday.

According to police reports, the suspect was pulled over just after 9:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of 7th Ave. After investigating, police charged Miquel R. Alonso, 50, of Monroe with driving under the influence after his blood alcohol limit was reportedly .29 percent.

After the arrest he was taken to Green County Jail, pending an initial court appearance.
