Green County

Felonies

●  Keith M. Bennett, Sr., 67, Monroe, was charged April 7 with a Class G felony count of manufacturing or delivering THC and a misdemeanor count of possessing drug paraphernalia. His initial appearance is June 8. The case stems from a Sept. 30 search warrant on his property in the W3300 block of County SS in rural Monroe, after agents with the Stateline Area Narcotics Team investigated a tip from a confidential informant that Bennett had an outdoor marijuana grow. The criminal complaint indicates deputies located marijuana “planted amongst the trees” in a wooded area on the property. Bennett told deputies the plants were for personal use so he did not have to buy from “local drug dealers.”

●  Nicole Anna Camuso, 34, Seabrook, New Hampshire, pleaded guilty April 17 to a misdemeanor theft charge, downgraded from a felony, and entered a one-year deferred prosecution agreement. She appeared by video conference for the hearing. Conditions of the agreement include monthly payments of $200 toward the remaining $2,400 balance of extradition costs. Her $4,000 cash bond she posted in September will go toward her restitution. In total, she owes $6,400 in court assessments. Court records indicate Camuso and Charles Jay Ouimet Jr., 36, also of Seabrook, New Hampshire, used a fake Facebook account to scam a Monroe resident out of thousands of dollars when he tried to buy a 1984 Ford Mustang from them. A bench warrant is still in effect for Ouimet.

Misdemeanors

●  Rutilio Valdivia Viera, 28, South Wayne, had several criminal traffic charges of driving without a valid license dismissed April 14. Court records indicate the state prosecutor moved to dismiss the cases after the defense attorney confirmed Valdivia Viera has been deported.
