Felonies
● Thor Alexander Crapp, 30, Monticello, pleaded no contest as part of a plea deal March 7 to a Class A misdemeanor charge of resisting or obstructing an officer. Three counts of felony bail jumping were dismissed. He was sentenced to one year on probation, with the condition that he “remain clean and sober.” The case stems from an arrest Oct. 8 at his home on South Monroe Street. Crapp was reported for probation violations involving drug use, out of concern that “he would overdose and die one of these days,” according to police reports. He tried to evade police when officers came to arrest him, escaping out a basement window, but was tackled and taken into custody on the front lawn.
