Felonies

●  Robert E. Copeland Jr., 46, address unknown, pleaded no contest May 24 to two Class I felony counts of failure to pay child support and entered a 36-month deferred prosecution agreement with conditions including paying $117 per week, or his current child support order, whichever is higher, to the Wisconsin Support Collections Trust Fund. His total arrearage owed as of August 2017 was $48,333.85.

●  Nicholas Tyler Dasko, 20, Union City, California, pleaded no contest to Class H felony charges of strangulation and false imprisonment and was sentenced May 24 to four years on probation and one week in jail. Other charges including substantial battery and unlawful phone use were dismissed but “read in,” meaning the judge could consider them at sentencing. The court had no objection to Dasko’s probation being transferred to the state of California. The case stems from a series of incidents involving an ex-girlfriend in the Brodhead area in October 2017. According to court records, the two argued about their relationship while in Dasko’s moving car, and he started driving at speeds of up to 100 mph, then braked at a rural intersection and continued yelling at her. When she attempted to take his keys and run away, he hit her and put his arm around her neck until she couldn’t breathe. She eventually got out of the car but passed out in the ditch. She said she awoke to Dasko yelling at her to get up before he grabbed his keys and drove off. He later returned to get her. In another incident, she said he tailgated her while she was out driving in Brodhead, and when she parked, he unlocked her car door, pulled her out by her shirt to the ground and held her down by her neck. She said he’d been regularly harassing her, posted nude photos of her to Instagram and called her up to 70 times per day.

●  Robyn Nicole Flannery, 35, Monroe, had her probation revoked May 28 on two Class H felony counts of forgery and was sentenced to 313 days in jail, with time served. She owes the court $2,763.53. The revocation order indicates Flannery failed to follow through with requirements of the Green County Drug Court Program and used heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, morphine and fentanyl while on probation. In September of 2018, she was reported to be “high” while chairing a Narcotics Anonymous meeting and admitted to eating fentanyl patches again. Her probation agent also reported Flannery for continuing unapproved employment with an in-home care job involving a patient prescribed opiates.

●  Christopher James Fillner, 48, Brooklyn, formerly of Albany, pleaded no contest June 10 to a misdemeanor charge of possessing THC and was fined. He owes the court $673.50. A felony charge of possessing methamphetamine was dismissed on the condition of a deferred prosecution agreement with stipulations. The case stems from a search warrant served on Fillner’s then-residence in the 100 block of North Jackson Street in Albany on June 12, 2018, by the State Line Area Narcotics Team (SLANT). Court records indicate he admitted to being the owner of marijuana and a crystal substance found during the search.

●  Kenia Yolibeth Noriega, 31, Altamonte Springs, Florida, was charged June 5 with one Class H felony count each of fraud against a financial institution ($500-$10,000), wire fraud against a financial institution and misappropriation of ID info to obtain money. A warrant is issued for her arrest. The case stems from a fraudulent loan taken out in September 2016 using Loan by Phone of Wisconsin, a subsidiary of Check Into Cash Wisconsin, LLC. A Town of Decatur resident contacted police in April 2018 to report getting a call from a collection agency regarding a delinquent loan taken out in her name, however she had not requested or authorized the loan. With late fees and delinquent charges, the total owed had grown to $952.50. Investigation traced the loan to Noriega.

●  Halee Michelle McNett, 32, last known address at the Green County Jail, had her deferred prosecution agreement vacated June 7 on a Class H felony conviction of forgery and was sentenced to three years on probation, concurrent to her previously sentenced probation for a misdemeanor theft conviction. Court records indicate the agreement was revoked after she possessed the narcotic medication Tramadol, consumed Adderall, marijuana and heroin, failed to attend a drug treatment program in Iowa, drank alcohol and tampered with her urinalysis screenings. She owes $3,789.28 in court assessments.

●  Jean Erika Justice, 25, Monroe, pleaded guilty June 12 to two Class I felony counts of possessing narcotic drugs and a misdemeanor charge of bail jumping. She was sentenced to 16 months on probation and 30 days in jail. She is eligible to have the case expunged from her record. Court records indicate she purchased 10 oxycodone hydrochloride pills for $100 from a confidential police source on July 18, 2018.

●  Kristina Lee Hamilton, 34, Viroqua, pleaded no contest June 13 to a Class I felony count of failure to pay child support and entered a two-year deferred prosecution agreement with conditions that she pay $116.21 each week, or her current child support order, whichever is higher, to the Wisconsin Support Collections Trust Fund.
