MONROE — Two Brodhead men have been charged with keeping a drug trafficking house from which they apparently sold felony amounts of both cocaine and marijuana, according to court records.
The suspects are connected to the same house in the 700 block of East Exchange Street but it is unclear how the men know each other. The investigation into the pair included detectives using Snap Chat social media and extensive police undercover work, according to court records.
Charged in the case is Joshua Ralph Lott, 27, and Seth Michael Olin, 28. They are both charged with felony possession with intent to deliver more than 2,500 grams of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver cocaine of between 15 and 40 grams; possession of narcotics and maintaining a drug trafficking place.
They were both scheduled for a preliminary hearing on the charges Wednesday before Green County Circuit Judge Faun M. Phillipson. Lott and Olin were both free on a $10,000 signature bond.
A search warrant was executed in December, 2022, in which drugs were allegedly seized as the basis for the charges against them. The investigation involved work by the combined SLANT regional narcotics task force.
Items seized in the raid include: THC vape cartridges, THC infused cookies and candy, 1500 grams of cannabis infused “syrup” and about 30 grams of cocaine.
SLANT is the Stateline Area Narcotics Team and includes investigators from Illinois State Police and from counties and cities in Boone (Ill.), Winnebago (Ill.), Stephenson (Ill.), JoDaviess (Ill.), Ogle (Ill), Green (Wis), and Lafayette (WI) counties.
