MONROE — A Brodhead man was arrested for his fourth operating while under the influence charge, a felony, following a traffic stop by Rock County Sheriff’s deputies.
According to police reports, on Dec. 22, just after 7:30 p.m., officers encountered a vehicle on Wis. 81, near South Olson Road, in the Town of Newark. There, they found a running car off to the side of the road driven by Richard Andrews, 44.
“Andrews had been traveling west on Highway 81 before running off the road,” a police statement said. “Andres showed signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for OWI.”
The arrest is a felony since it is Andrews’ 4th OWI, police said.
