MONROE - The Streets and Sanitation Department has begun hauling compost to the parking lot by the bandshell at Twining Park. It will be hauled to this site as time and weather permits.

Only city of Monroe residents may get compost from this location. The compost is not meant to be hauled away with bucket-type equipment, such as a skid steer, end-loader or tractor with a bucket.

Delivery of a 5-yard load of compost is available to city residents for a $50 fee payable in advance at the city treasurer's office, currently located at the Monroe Police Department or at the Wastewater Treatment Plant. To place an order, call 329-2490 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
