MONROE - The Monroe Community Center - located in the lower level of City Hall, 1110 18th Ave. - is currently available to rent for family gatherings and celebrations.
With seating for more than 75 people, it can be used for reunions, bridal showers, birthday parties, wedding receptions and other get-togethers. The rental fee is $65 for the day and includes the use of the community center, kitchen, pool table, TV and Xbox (bring your own games).
A number of dates are still available for the upcoming holidays, through January 2013.

- Sept. 8, 9, 23, 29 and 30.
- Oct. 6, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 and 28.
- Nov. 4, 10, 17, 18, 24 and 25.
- Dec. 1, 8, 15, 23, 25 and 29.
- Jan. 5, 12, 19, 20, 26 and 27.
