Colony Brands earn USPS award

MILWAUKEE - The U.S. Postal Service recognized Colony Brands, Inc. this week with its Corporate Business Achievement Award for the company's commitment to a successful business partnership with the postal service.

The award, one of three "best in class" awards presented annually at the National Postal Forum, recognizes customers who have been handpicked by the USPS headquarters' officers.

Colony Brands, Inc. has used the USPS to deliver their catalogs and products to their customers. Even during these challenging economic times, Colony Brands, Inc. made the decision to continue the level of distribution of their catalog volume. To do this at the most advantageous cost, Colony Brands, Inc. converted to Intelligent Mail barcode (IMb) and implemented One Code Address Change Service (ACS). By using IMb for all qualifying levels and employing their expertise in commingling and printing of the catalogs, they were able to maximize the postage discount. The implementation of One Code ACS with the generic electronic service significantly reduced UAA mail and operational costs for return pieces.
