MONROE - In a meeting Wednesday, the City of Monroe Salary & Personnel Committee authorized filling a wastewater operator position from a posting within the union. According to Wastewater Treatment Plant Superintendent Jerry Ellefson, Chad Ringhand will start in the position Oct. 26. Ringhand currently is employed by the city Street Department. The position opened because of a retirement.
