MONROE - In a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Salary and Personnel Committee:
• Approved maintaining current procedures for allowing department heads to hire casual temporary employees, with approval by committee and council.
• Authorized Parks Department to hire casual temporary summer employee for 2010.
• Authorized Street Department to hire casual temporary summer employees for 2010.
• In a closed session, discussed qualifications of candidates and background check information, met with a candidate, and authorized terms of employment agreement for the Wastewater Treatment Utility Superintendent position.
