MONROE - At a meeting Tuesday, the City of Monroe Salary and Personnel Committee:
• Received updates and discussed candidates and compensation for Wastewater Utility Superintendent position in a closed session meeting.
• Directed City Clerk Carol Stamm to conduct reference checks on candidates for Wastewater Utility Superintendent position.
Discussion to approve extra compensation for WWTP Lead Operator due to extra work and responsibilities caused because of the vacant WWTP Superintendent position was scratched from the agenda. Chairperson Mark Coplien said the issue had to be sent back to the union.
Keith Ingwell was absent.
