MONROE - In a meeting Monday, the City of Monroe Public Service Committee:
• Recommended to Council to approve special events for Green County Fair, YMCA Youth Triathlon and Monroe Area Girls Softball Tournament
• Recommended to Council to approve a request for a 40-foot no parking zone on east side of 900 block of 25th Avenue, for handicapped loading.
• Recommended to Council to approve no parking zone sign between two driveways on east side of 1000 block of 18th Avenue.
• Requested a traffic count at the intersection of 20th Street and 10th Avenue, for a possible yield sign.
• Recommended to Council to authorize the Farmers Market to be located, as needed, on any side of the Square during reconstruction, provided that it does not obstruct traffic downtown, or to the Middle School Parking lot, until August 15.
